  1. Have I imagined this, didn’t Ferguson know he had a severe gambling problem and didn’t like his attitude. Remember when shearer sparked him out. hindsight and from snippets here there always suggested they wanted rid.
  2. Undoubtedly some people will go with him. Hopefully the head physio he brought in.
  3. Yep, you get the vision for the civilian Olympics!
  4. I’ve always thought that would be a better way of doing the Olympics. It should be people from each country are called up at random through the electoral roll in each country. Picking random people to compete in random sports would give a much better idea of which country had the best, fittest or fattest people and would be far more entertaining.
  5. Going to be embarrassing if Ashworth is quicker than burn and we’re letting him go.
  6. Well in my proposal they would be taxed and the money distributed by down the pyramid. The big clubs already do better out of the current deal. The ppv model should leave no club worse off would be the proposal. Some may well be better off as always. for me it’s for the fans, as usual the money element is the evil shadow. But I think it’s this day and age, everyone should be able to watch their teams home and away games as they happen and not be held back by travel, disability, costs or other demands in their life. one way around it could be the ppv is handled by the PL themselves and the money distributed at the end of the season based on equal share and a league position element. That way everyone would get a fair share. As I say, it’s not perfect and details would be complicated. But at the moment it’s the fans who can’t get to home and away games who suffer and get 9mins on motd or 2 min YouTube highlights. Even Sky’s 30 min highlights on a sat are now crappy. I’m sure you used to be able to press the red button and pick your match highlights at 9pm. Now I have to record the 30mins and it’s on at 2am or similar.
  7. Right. So we need to start selling back room staff to Saudi teams. How many million can we get for the tea lady before liverfool start whinging? is it too late to get Derek wright and his wet sponge back, he must be worth something.
  8. I would scrap VAR, but use goal line tech and have it work on the ball being out of play too. Scrap replays for all competitions, must be decided in the night. stop players surrounding the ref or being rude in any way to the ref. Just go on a red card bonanza and fuck everyone over for the first few games. controversial, I would scrap 3pm blackout and make all games available live on a pay per view or season ticket direct from the club. But any revenue from advertising would be taxed by the FA/pl and that would be filtered down the pyramid, maybe done by league position. Clubs shouldn’t be worse off than with the current sky deal. Someone else would have to work out the details. would it impact attendances, it might, but I think the majority attend for the experience, plenty can’t for medical or just can’t get tickets. I’m not convinced it would see attendances plummet. ffp is too complex for me, so will stay out of that. Oh, any fans throwing anything at players or onto the pitch banned for life. And banned from the pay per view system above for 10 years.

  10. Better idea, most manure fans live in London, they can relocate and share with West Ham.
  11. It doesn’t really seem fair as smaller (financially speaking) clubs can’t catch up, potentially ever. maybe there should be a weighting along the lines of the parachute payments. Every position you finish lower you can spend a high percentage. Finish 17th and you get to spend 300 % of turnover with a sliding scale, finish top you can spend 70% of turn over. That would stick it to the big clubs and allow small clubs to put their owners money in. whole thing is a mess, can’t see any solution really. Removing any ffp restrictions at least returns it to how it’s always been. Big clubs can buy who they want, but small (financially speaking) clubs like Blackburn, Leicester, Chelsea and city can alway have the dream of rich owners coming in and turning them around. so, selfishly, whats 85% of our turnover a year for transfer fees if this came in?
  12. I think the caymanians who all have full uk citizenship as it’s a British overseas territory would be happy to tell you it includes them and activities there. but yeah, cunts don’t get rich spending their own money or paying PAYE tax.
  13. I would imagine a lot more people are on the booze during the match threads. Probably plays a part.
  14. Come on, can’t we all go to bed on a Sunday with a positive! you're right though, expect stone cold Eddie to claim BDB is clocking 100m in 9 seconds ahead of notts forest.
  15. If that’s the latest update, then that’s really positive. Imagine having Wilson, isak and Barnes available.
  16. Sorry you’re right, that was someone with a similar name. It does say he dropped some aftershave on his foot
  17. Says here he was moving an ironing board, with a load of other strange injuries. https://www.beinsports.com/en-au/football/articles/the-15-strangest-injuries-in-football
  18. Grandpa, how come you are reading a football stats if you don’t actually watch football? Follow the xG and you don’t need to watch football.
  19. Did 14 clubs vote this through as a good idea then? I wasn’t sure if this was something outside of the clubs voting control? could any club table an alternative or amendment to the rules? I could see 14 clubs getting fed up quite quickly.
  20. unfortunately I got my kelvin clines on DHgate, and no one told me to order 4 sizes bigger than normal. Now my bollocks are in my stomach and I’m not sure I’ve still got circulation in my love length.
  21. Or more likely he’s just been smiling, while someone has been talking him through it in English and he still can’t understand a word.
  22. Won’t use his left foot under any circumstances.
  23. Yes, yes and then immortalise the shit out of it for 10 years whatever the fuck that means.
  24. I have the original and it was a really weird fit at the time. The body is really short, not tight, just like it’s about 10cm too short. Not saying they copied it on purpose mind.

And with the way their ffp calculator works, they now have £3.7b to spend this window.
