I think his best form so far has been with us in the PL, in the last half of the 18/19 season. His current form might surpass that, but he didn't do as well for Betis as he did for us in 2019.

I've been going on about Nusa way too much already, but I just thought of Brentford. They were buying him last summer for 30m, and he was ready to go. The deal broke down because they got nervous about something in the medical. Turned out he was fine, so he went to Leipzing. Brentford must be kicking themselves.

Their team was already past its prime like 4 years ago. Their golden generation is long gone. That's part of the reason why they did so poorly last 2 championships, all their best players were old.

The other guy (whoever that is) looks so proud.

Bobb - Ødegaard - Nusa Haaland And then you have Sørloth as an impact sub or starter in the case of injuries. Probably going to be miles ahead of any attack we've ever had, atleast if Bobb and Nusa can avoid injury problems during development.

This kid is 19 years old.. vs Slovenia: vs Kazakhstan:

Every goal for Norway is just Haaland and Nusa. Nusa literally creating everything for us at the moment.

You realise that he didn't say it was a decent fee? He's making a prediction of what he thinks could happen in a specific (far from ideal) scenario, just like he explained in the quote I gave you. You can disagree with the possibility of that fee in that situation, but that's besides the point. Maybe you should read posts more carefully going forward. That way you won't twist peoples opinions into something different.

In the winter window? Too early. It won't even help PSR that much in the short term. I think the risk of getting less in the summer is low. His actual value is higher than what we paid imo. If you asked the same question for Hall last season (before that last period), I think many would say yes to taking back the £35m.

The fact that he didn't start last game when we won isn't actually that great of an argument when you consider that we were struggling offensively in the first half, and scored 2 goals after he came on, with him being involved in both of them. Just to use an extreme example to demonstrate, lets say you bench prime Messi for some wild reason, and he wins the game coming on from the bench because he's the best player out there. This doesn't prove that benching him and subbing him on in the second half is a winning strategy, as the win would probably have been comfortable with him starting. Not saying anything was right or wrong last game, just commenting on the idea that us winning somehow proves that starting Tonali on the bench was right.

Now we know how VAR can get easy decisions wrong after multiple replays. They're probably doing lines in the VAR bus.

Nusa man. Ben Arfa 2.0

Nusa just did what Ben Arfa would've done

Yeah, from what the person is telling it does seem illegal. But most of it was through snapchat apparently, since Coote was scared of getting caught. The person telling these things doesn't have screens from snapchat.
-
If he did anything illegal, I don't think there's sufficient proff. If he was asking for certain types of pictures, then I would assume that this is indeed illegal?
-
StokeyyG2 on X just posted a bunch of screenshots he had been sent by someone. Apparently Coote was grooming the unknown guy for photos when he was 15-18, and Coote was around 35-40. There was screenshots and even video proof in there, videos which Coote had sent (just of him drinking alchohol without a shirt). The thread is deleted now. This is some of the screens (more in the replies)

Atletico went big on Sørloth (32m euros) and Alvarez (95m euros) last summer. Is it realistic to count them in?

I think it's a very real possibility, even if we have several targets. That's why most clubs doesn't buy in january. I don't think it would be an excuse though, the real mistake was to seemingly not have enough targets in the summer. I can understand not wanting to waste money by overpaying in january.
-
Sure, but if all the players we go for are being priced too high, we might still wait. I think we tend to focus on the long term when it comes to transfers (despite our accident with PSR), like doing nothing instead of overpaying (like we did with Guehi).
-
Another question is whether we even want to do deals in january, unless it's absolutely necessary. In the window where we signed Gordon, I'm confident Ashby would've been our only signing if Gordon didn't ditch training, despite our push for top 4 at the time.
-
Probably yes, but I'm talking about exactly that. We're not forced to sell unless he makes a huge deal out of it, and that's very unlikely.
-
Were there no rules against this behaviour? Could he not have told the main ref to send him off? Admittedly I'm not sure what consequences this got, but I don't think Klopp got sent off many times at all.
-
Even if he really wanted to leave, which hasn't really happened yet with any of our stars despite numerous of articles saying so, I think we would be able to get atleast £90m. A fee of 90-100m is a possible outcome in that case, IMO. I just don't think that he would want to leave that badly next year, even if we're not in the UCL.
