Can we appeal?
-
Can we have Olmo please?
-
Well we've got a wonderfully named Greek fella you can have if that's a concern.
-
Does he have more legs than Casimero? How good's your backup keeper?
-
Still? I thought after a dreadful start he picked up and played well for you last year. I remember his passing into midfield being a bit of a bugger to play against at your place .
-
Or he'd Ryan Fraser him out of existence. Though harder to do when a player's on 300k plus per week.

Had family over so couldn't see the game yesterday. From Man U fans sounds like Amorim got it wrong to start with & Casemeiro & Eriksson were always going to be overrun. To be fair to him though he was pretty proactive in changing things and bringing Mainoo on did stem the tide by the sounds of it, though obviously we didn't have to force things by then. At the end of the day Amorim has a decent beard and his name sounds like an interesting liqueur you pick up on your holidays. These are good qualities to build around. Also I think 343 can be a really good system, but he'll need a couple of windows to bring some peeps in.

We're obviously playing them at a very good time with form/mood around clubs, them missing two of their midfield. We're still away at Old Trafford, they have plenty of experienced players and I never feel like our press works that well against 3 at the back. Particularly with Onana's distribution, last year he was constantly being the extra man and passed through the lines with ease. Froggy's also said that Man U have been playing a bit better than results would suggest at times & they just haven't been taking chances. I'd still make us overall favourites though and if we really turn up with the bit between our teeth we've got a good chance.

Yeah, there was an interview with him with Gary Neville just before the Euros where he basically said going forward he just wants to play as long as possible & is happy to drop down the leagues if necessary to do so. I doubt he'll want to be a backup another year. Would be a good pick up for a newly promoted team though. Maybe if Burnley get back up.

Still think having Trips in the squad is probably worth at least 3 or 4 points over the year. Just from having a quality backup when needed, his experience, leadership, especially as we have two young developing fullbacks.
-
Villa have a pretty good backup option at CF. They'll be fine.

Disagree with Clattenburg here: "VIOLENT CONDUCT Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made." Intent is clearly a thing.

Arteta hates this sort of thing, he'll stop them doing it. I'm sure.

Like the look of Khusanov - looks pretty fast, two-footed, some nice passes, even takes some free kicks. Very aggressive. Gets a ton of interceptions but also quite a few yellows. From his stats, although he's listed at about 6'1"/2 he wins a lot of aerial balls. Feel we played quite well with Botman covering while Schar was more aggressive so they may pair well. That said, he hasn't played that much in Ligue 1. Only 20 games or so. Might be more of a Saliba project where he needs a bit more time to develop there before being Prem ready. Could see him staying on loan this year and maybe next.

"You can argue I have been here one month and I've had four training [sessions], but we are not winning. That is the reality." - They've hired the Portugese Steve Bruce!

Basically, if it hits your arm it's handball if it's one of these situations: 1. Deliberate handball, e.g hand to ball. 2. Accidental but your arm was in a position that made your body unnaturally bigger. (Basically is your arm position reasonable taking into account your movement) - Judgement call, eg Tino vs PSG 3. Accidental but it goes in off your arm, even if just a tiny brush (what Bruno was penalised for) 4. Accidental and you yourself score immediately after it hits your arm. (Eg Wilson vs Brentford away a year or two ago) If it hits your arm accidentally someone else can score immediately, (eg Longstaff's goal vs fulham last year here) but you can't score yourself. So in this case, it hit Bruno's arm, so he couldn't score, but someone else could. As it looks as if it would be going wide without the deflection it would be an own goal, so none of the above categories apply. EDIT: That said, watching the highlights, from another angle I can't actually tell for sure whether it was going in off Bruno or not.

And that's not even mentioning the absolute bodying he game their player to win the ball in the first place! Pretty rare to find such a great playmaker who's also so able and willing to mix it.

Milanista said he was basically Ambrosini IIRC.

His reaction to Duran probably gets the red card shown yesterday.
