  1. Both end up in UCL so I'll take that.
  2. I do hope they double down hard on Amorim, move on a few players and load the squad up on some expensive buys to fit his system, giving sporting £100m and nothing changes form wise long term. Their good form is still dependent on Fernandes, and the guys legs will drop off in next season or two IMO. Been playing non stop, at a full intensity style since his first full season in 2012. That’s 12 1/2 seasons to date. Not much more mileage left in him. Don’t nail it with him there, they’re fucked and will rightly be a side that start of season is expected to finish 6-8 like Liverpool many years ago.
  3. Murphy and Gordon will have a field day against these with Schar spamming long balls.
  4. One thing I noticed with Dubs in goal, players at the back were a lot more willing to pass back to him when under pressure. Didn’t even think twice and played the ball back which helped open up the pitch, bypass a press and retain possession. Wasn’t tested for saves / crosses, but that side of the game you can see a clear difference to Pope and how we play at the back as a result.
  5. Having a CB with pace will help IMO, as they can press aggressively like we did in 22/23, which Schar half a yard of pace lost shows.
  6. Needing to chase down Forest, who we have to play at home is ideal.
  7. Ipswich mate said best side seen this season and the legs in middle was big. This last week, admittedly against three poor sides, has shown we can get scoring. Take that and the confidence that comes with it, over a statement win and a defeat we’ve had before. Confidence has to be there now in final which is massive before 3 huge games against sides we have to finish above if we want European football. Realistically, we have to come out of those games with 5 points minimum IMO.
  8. Now growing into his frame. Could be a proper rolls Royce of a player with his technical ability.
  9. Good win this, take it into a big home game and beat Villa, and get the board thinking we can make a transfer early in January and get momentum going with cup games to come. Mood can change quick and momentum is key in football.
  10. Please get Lewis Miley back on the pitch for a confidence boost
  11. This is why I want to keep Isak at all costs and will want to sell anyone before him.
  12. Good half. Clinical on the mistakes for once. Start 2nd half with high tempo and kill it off with a 4th.
  13. Been consistent with the team selection recently which I’m hoping helps us keep up this recent form as confidence grows.
  14. Just seen the Ipswich side. Christ it looks even worse than normal, hope we smell blood and kill this off first half.
  15. Yep, doesn’t matter who is manager, this is a squad in a poor place. Should be doing a bit better, but the drop off is shown in the squad with Rodri injury.
  16. Man City are broken under Pep. The press was all wrong there. Just walk mate.
  17. Cherki I’d love. There’s big question marks, but he gets you off your seat and that’s what I want. Players with personality, not to end up as a machine boring mentality that we’ve seen of Man City, where individual brilliance is reduced.
  18. Since Nolan smashed them up in 2009 or record away at Norwich / Ipswich: Games: 8 Wins: 1 Loses: 3 Draws: 4 That win being the most recent trip there to Norwich in 2022 so hopefully the new benchmark Always felt like over the years we struggle as a side travelling to the east which is weird.
  19. Ipswich main threat is Davis at LB, which vice versa, is their weakest point because of the space he leaves behind. Feels an ideal game for Murphy to stay high and we exploit it with direct pace in behind. Which I’d also say for his game, Longstaff RCM would be my preference for the defensive side he’d give Tino and the team on that Ipswich side.
  20. I mean, this guy will be one of like 10-15 signings of this nature (youth signed from abroad) by end of decade and probably 1-2 will go onto being key first team players, 1-2 squad options, 2-3 saleable assets for some profit, rest just loans and gone. Probably say at the moment since 2022 we’re looking at: Kuol, Minteh, Pivas and Minteh is the success so far. So tracking at 33% rate, which probably is the rate you’d want come end of decade.
  21. Omari to produce a performance where he scores and assists to top it off.
  22. Always of a view, best time to buy if you back your scouts is stock at their lower point. With that in mind, Adam Wharton. Compared to summer just gone, next summer, his value could be a low lower. Didn’t light up at the start, now injured as Palace are doing better. Could be a good time to move in the summer if that continues. Long term CM and replacement within English quota.
  23. I prefer Liverpool over Spurs (if we get job done). They’re the top side, but if they have a wobble in 2nd half of season, all pressure is on them and after a UCL 16 game (where there’s a chance it could be against a top side like Man City giving their position) they could be tired with injuries.
