mrmojorisin75
Rotating Aarons/De Jong may not be a bad idea. Especially as both seem to have had an injury-prone start to their careers here. Still not happy with any side that has to start one of Colo/Willo/Saylor though I can just about live with Colo if he's got pace and physicality alongside him. He might form a decent partnership with Mbemba to be fair.

Not sure its worth the risk seeing if he can reverse his decline for the sake of that.

U2
What formations have we been playing? Basically a 4-2-3-1 in every fixture under McClaren.

I would even accept Zouma on loan despite hating those deals with a passion.
Consortium of one
Within the realms of possibility (ie. with Colback definitely as a starter), I'd like to see: Krul Janmaat Colo Mbemba Haidara Colback Sissoko Wijnaldum De Jong Perez Mitrovic Perez is a better footballer than Cisse and will contribute more to the creativity of the team, and Mitrovic seems to know the onion bag well as being stronger than a pre-pubescent Hugo Viana - something which Cisse can't say for himself. I tend to like this formation. I would like a little more spine than Colback at the holding spot though. Maybe Tiote can be revitalized and just play as an anchorman. I'm just praying McLaren will bring more order to our approach. Good defense, transitory and offensive theory can go a long way with this lot. Had these signing been made with Pards or Charver I would have felt they were bought and tossed into a black hole. I actually believe that McLaren can use them. Mole_Toonfan
The diamond works on PES Not exactly sure how it would work irl though, I'm a bit conflicted on it.
Guest Roger Kint
The diamond works on PES Not exactly sure how it would work irl though, I'm a bit conflicted on it. Basically needs Perez and one of Win/Siss to provide the width so unless you decide not to cover the fullbacks it works out as a 4-3-3 variation anyway imo. Definitely a gamer formation rather than a practical one for the majority of sides.

SiLvOR
I'm reserving judgement until I see his first team selection. Then I'll probably put my foot through the monitor. EDIT: First team selection for a non-friendly, of course.

Pilko
For me our pre-season should be: - Kickabout with local side - Three-game tournament in Europe against at least one Europa League/CL-level side, otherwise top division sides at least - Two games against higher-end Championship teams - CL team at home the week before kick-off

AyeDubbleYoo
When the pressure's on is the key, I can't really remember much of his past reaction. Anyway, he clearly knows a lot more about football so I don't really care what he says.

Yorkie
I don't blame people, like. After four years of Pardew it's refreshing. Can't understand any real excitement re: transfers, like. The squad's still full of holes and the players we have signed should've been here weeks ago.
