Gouffran, Colback and Riviere. Did that really just happen, that's what he came up with after 18 days.

Sweet baby Jesus.

...and £80m spent on players who were supposed to replace these wankers.

3 were playing, 2 injured, 1 sent packing to France because he was shite....

Judged shite by the fucking clown who just put that nonsense out on a pitch.

Was Aarons injured as well then? I can only assume so since he was started at left back for the past few games then as soon as Townsend went down injured he was nowhere to be seen. Gouffran in while Tiote and Anita were out...Perez and Doumbia left on the bench while hotshot Riviere was left to save the day. it must all have been about the shape of the side. At least we got that right.

Asked if he would be in charge for the rest of the season, the under pressure boss said: “I don't see any reason why not.

“We are here for a reason, and we have to continue. 11 games to go you saw tonight the reaction of the players was good.

“The players are frustrated, angry and disappointed. Everything you'd expect from a game we shouldn't have lost.”

Defies belief.

He'll defend fucking anything, anything that this forum thinks is shit. That much is abundantly clear now. That's his thing it would seem, can't imagine what he gets out of it.

Can anyone be arsed to do a before / after points uplift for Villa, Sunlun, Swans, Chelsea and anyone else who's chopped their manager this season?

Villa

Before: 4pts from 10 games (0.40 PPG)

After: 12pts from 18 games (0.67 PPG)

Sunderland

Before: 3pts from 8 games (0.38 PPG)

After: 21pts from 20 games (1.05 PPG)

Swansea

Before: 22pts from 22 games (1.00 PPG)

After: 8pts from 6 games (1.33 PPG)

Chelsea

Before: 18pts from 17 games (1.06 PPG)

After: 21pts from 11 games (1.91 PPG)

Can't be bothered doing any more.

The problems at this club go far deeper than McClaren, but it's time to give someone else a go at trying to get through to these players. Cue Beardsley till the end of the season.

Beardsley - whilst he is a club legend, he's another company man. Just look at how his U21 side have done recently, never mind what the youth teams are doing too, Losing has become acceptable and a way of life at Newcastle United, ever since we finished 5th.
