Shak
Smith's our best player and was our sole shining light at Wigan, so he has to keep his place obviously.
Ally
Faye in midfield?
Mowen
That looks like a 4-4-2 with Faye and Butt in mf and Smith and Martins up top to me. We'll see, but that wouldn't be too bad.
Chris_R
According to Eurosport: Newcastle: Given © Beye Taylor Faye N'Zogbia Milner Butt Emre Duff Viduka Martins Very much doubt it'll be 4-4-2. But with Martins, Milner and Duff, it's a struggle to work out just what the hell the team actually is going to shape up like. Probably 442. Based on what, the fact that if the players are in their correct positions then the team sheet lends itself to 4-4-2? Are you forgetting that normally 5 of our players are out of position? Guest
So what's the formation there then? Surely with those players, a normal manager would go.... GK - Given RB - Beye LB - N'Zogbia CB - Cacapa CB - Taylor RM - Milner LM - Duff CM - Butt CM - Faye CF - Smith CF - Martins Now since we have two natural wingers and two strikers, I wouldn't be against having two "destroyers" in the centre... ...but what are the chances it'll be GK - Given RB - Beye LB - N'Zogbia CB - Taylor CB - Cacapa CM - Smith CM - Faye CM - Butt CF - Milner CF - Duff CF - Martins in the weird 4-3-3/4-5-1. Errol82
The team: Given Beye Taylor Cacapa Charlie Milner Butt Faye Smith Duff Martins Faye and Butt in the center of the park... well that sound like a creative midfield

Doubtless be the same system as Wigan. 4-5-1, Butt/Faye/Smith as a midfield trio. Wesus Jept.

Decky
The team: Given Beye Taylor Cacapa Charlie Milner Butt Faye Smith Duff Martins Dont see anything wrong there, we need to be defensive as we are away to Chelsea, we cant play Enrique because he hasnt played alot this season and away to Chelsea we are probably best to keep the person who has been our LB all season. IF we won our last 4 games and were in the top 8 right now people would be happy with that line up, we arnt playing for a win today, we are playing not to lose. Rich
Given Beye Taylor Cacapa N'Zogbia Faye Butt Smith Milner Duff Martins I'd put good money on that. Faye/Butt has the potential to be the least creative central midfield we've ever deployed if he does go 4-4-2.

Mowen
That's a big and strong midfield they're sending out. Having Faye in the mix could be important to us.
