A whisper going around a few weeks back was us after Al Habsi from Bolton to replace Given.

Chinese whispers is a tough game man, you probably heard wrong

We're signing Zheng Zhiyi from Charlton?

Stephane Mbia:"I think another year at Rennes could be good for me. But if a big club comes in for me, I will leave."

We were linked with him a few weeks back, don't know much about him.

Arsenal's Alexander Hleb: London is too noisy

By Charlie Caroe

Telegraph 14/05/2008

Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb has spoken out about his desire to secure a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

The Sun reports that Hleb, who is thought to be a target for Inter Milan, is not a fan of life in the English capital.

He said: "I'm not a biy city man. I need my retreat, that's why I'm often in Germany.

"Stuttgart is my second home, my friends are there and it is where I feel most comfortable."

Hleb's agent reinforced the message, as he sought to portray his client's state-of-mind three years after he moved to London from VfB Stuttgart.

Nikolai Shpilevski said: "Alex is tired of the noisy and chaotic life in London and feels like living in calmer surroundings."

Shpilevski also confirmed that while Hleb appreciates Arsenal are a great team, he has reached a turning-point in his career.

He said: "He has been playing in London for three years now and isn't sure whether in the future he can show the level of talent that he is showing currently.

"I can only confirm that some of the world's biggest clubs are interested in him.

"In any case I can say simply that Alexander will not buy out the remaining part of his five-year contract for a fixed sum of his sale.

"Hleb is a gentleman and will not stoop to that level. Everything will be done properly.

"I am sure that the situation surrounding this issue will finally be resolved in the next 10 days."

One possible replacement for Hleb could be Yaya Toure, brother of Kolo, who is currently playing in the midfield at Barcelona but has admitted he would love to join up with his sibling in London.

we're after peruvian midfielder juan carlos marino, who plays for Hercules, according to his agent.

No chance. Only scored 1 goal in 15 games for Hercules who are in the Spanish 2nd division.

Deco is on the move for definite:

"I will almost certainly go to England or Italy.

"I won't stay in Spain as the only club at the same level as Barcelona is Madrid and I would never go to Madrid.

"I will go where I want and not where the club tells me."

90% sure he wouldn't be up for it but worth a shot.

As you say i dont believe that we will see Deco playing for us, but worth a shot.

I can imagine the combination of Decos genial passes to a intelligent player like Owen when it comes to making a smart run and the reading and understanding he has of the game. Could/should be a deadly combination that would score alot of goals just between them two i think..

According to Turkish papers it seems like there's an offer ($16 mio) made for Arda Turan (1987) from Galatasaray. He is one of the most talented players at the moment in Turkey and w'll see him definitely in Euro2008. He is a winger with really superb skills and technique only disadvantage is perhaps that he is not that speedy. If you search at youtube you will find a lot of videos..

According to the article they seem however not interested in selling him at the moment.
