That pic is pretty perfectly set up for a KKK joke.  Good job to whoever did that.

Like someone says, no worse than something you'd see on South Park or in a satirical magazine.

Come off it, man. That's not satire. It's just fucking pointless.

the difference being that in south park its done with intelligence and wit, as part of a story in which you hear both sides of the argument, not, as stated above, a pointless photoshop thats just trying to be offensive for no reason ,because whoever did it is under the mistaken impression that its creative or funny.

Martins excited by Toon style

Nigerian committed to Newcastle

Obafemi Martins is looking forward to a bright future at St James' Park after Newcastle continued their resurgence with a 3-0 victory over Reading on Saturday.

The Magpies had not won under Kevin Keegan until the game against Fulham a fortnight ago, but they have now recorded three straight victories and scored nine goals in the process.

Martins has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Newcastle but he insists he is committed to the club.

He said: "Not only me, all the players want to stay next season. But we are not going to talk about next season now.

"We have five games left and we have to continue to play and win. It is possible to win all five games, so we will see what happens.

Focused

"We showed the fans how we can do it and we are very happy because if we continue to play like this, we will be at the top, never mind the bottom.

"We just need to continue to play well in the last five games."

Martins has combined well with Michael Owen and Mark Viduka in a three-pronged strikeforce in recent weeks and he admits he is enjoying the attacking brand of football encouraged by Keegan.

"We are playing together very, very well. We have been training hard to play together, so we are happy.

"We are pleased to score beautiful goals - and if we continue to play like that, we will score more goals."

Does every thread about a black guy have to turn into pages of reactionary posts to an usually unfunny racial joke?

I'm poppin' over to the Beye thread and waiting for someone to post something rather silly now. *Rubbing hands*

PS: Unfunny, unnecessary, lacking in context. And I hardly even had a reaction when I saw it. Didn't even 'meh...' Was more confused than anything else. The main question is... why? How is that funny? Just asking out of curiosity and amusement.

I chuckled at it, not because it was funny but it was so random and obviously the creator thought it was funny in his own head, which is what I found funny. I quite like it when people can freely pander to their own sense of humour which we don't have to find funny or even see any reason for it. Indeed that's the best kind of humor. Some people can sell it, others can't. I say keep it and ask people to stop being so stuck up.

So who saw the Oba-Faye two step together after Oba scored.  Pretty funny seeing him and Faye start out with the hand-dap and then go on to hips and heels.  Very funny.

Had nothing on the Owen/Beye celebration, to be honest.

Still hating on Oba I see.

You'll learn to love him soon enough, despit your intelligence grading systems.

I actually like him and do rate him in so far as that he's a useful player, but I'm not buying all the love for him based on very little other than a likable persona and the odd spectacular goal, or for some, that he's this top player which he most certainly isn't, scale or no scale.

He's playing well at the moment though and I've been encouraged by some of the things I'm seeing which may suggest, all is not lost in terms of further development, maybe.

I'd still rather we went and bought a better all-round striker though, but that goes for most areas of the team. A few wins and good performances don't fool me, these players are still not up to scratch and the wins and performances are more of KK's doing than the players' actual abilities to my mind.
