Steve Bruce says they've "virtually agreed" a deal to sell Palacios to spuds - believed to be around £14m.

wigan signed him 1 year ago for £770,000. steve bruce Arsene Wenger knows how to find a bargain.

either way, he signed valencia in the same window and he's possibly off for an inflated fee. twas good window for wigan.

only if it is reinvested well in the playing side.

They are likely to have a couple of south americans lined up no doubt.

The beauty of Wigan vs Newcastle is that the fans @ Wigan would give a player a chance that we never would.  Once we get over ourselves we too can have players like Palacios come here and get a shot in the Prem to prove themselves without having a hundred threads on a messageboard about how much they suck.

Apparantly City have outbid us for Palacios. Think they're just signing players for the hell of it now.

Gutted. They don't need him. Still you might as well go in for ireland now.

They won't sell Ireland, he's been their best player this season. Better off going for Gelson or Johnson, both very good players from what I've seen.

Skytext saying Bellamy refusing to play for WHU today, at least has moved on from being coward claiming to be injured & is more upfront about not wanting to be at a club anymore.

Next he will be choosing one his weapons of choice: chair or golf club.

Also, kinda related... had to laugh when I read this on the BBC rumours page...

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp insists he does not want to sell midfielder Jermaine Jenas - and reckons there is a source within the club releasing information about his proposed transfer targets. (Sky Sports News, 0627 GMT)

....Aye, it's HIM!!!!

Beelend on strike at the Hammers  but how long can that droopy faced horrible cunt Harry get away with talking about other clubs players? he is doing it way to much, managers like MON will say nothing and thats the way it should be done.

FA need to act with Harry like, suspend any more transfers in this window for Spuds that would fk him.

Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has stated that the Serie A giants would not be tempted to sell Alessandro Del Piero for £100million.

Cobolli Gigli's comments follow Manchester City's interest in AC Milan star Kaka, with reports suggesting a deal in excess of £100million could be in the offing.

Juve goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has also been linked with City in the past, but Cobolli Gigli is adamant Juve will not lose any of their star personnel.

"We have never received any offer for Buffon," said Cobolli Gigli. "As for Del Piero, he is the star and central column of Juve and would not be remotely interested in leaving Turin.

"No, we would not sell him, not even for £100m. These figures, especially at this moment when the world and football should be reconsidering its finances, are just illogical."

Fuking nutter. Massive Del Boy fan, but if Juve got a £10m bid they'd be mad to turn it down.  :idiot2:

Absolutely mental, how old is he now? 34?

You don't really believe him now, do ya?!!

Palmeiras & Portsmouth interested in Edmilson. Think we were right not to get him when Allardyce was after him, but for 6 months or so to bulk the squad up a bit, and add a little extra quality to our midfield, reckon it would be worth going back for him?

No. Imo this is exactly the type of signing we should be staying away from. We need dynamism, enthusiasm and spirit in our midfield, not some old crock looking for a final payday.

Kaka is expected to join Manchester City next week after he was railroaded into accepting the £108million move.

The Brazilian playmaker said an emotional farewell to AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti when he left training yesterday, signalling the end of his love affair with the Italian club.

But his arrival at City will be sweetened by a £10m signing-on and a staggering £15m-a-year salary. Kaka’s father and chief adviser, Bosco Leite, will hold talks with City officials in Milan on Monday.

But it was being claimed in the the Middle East that the player has agreed to the move with City’s Abu Dhabi-based owners.

The player, who famously wears a T-shirt bearing the message ‘I belong to Jesus’, arrived at AC’s Milanello training complex yesterday in a mini-van. He gave only a brief wave as he was whisked past the fans gathered outside the gates.

He is now unlikely to play a part in Milan’s match with Fiorentina at the San Siro tonight.

Despite being offered a mind-boggling sums by City’s oil-rich owners, the former World Player of the Year reckons he is being pressurised into swapping a team which won the Champions League in 2007 for a fight against relegation at a club whose last major trophy was the League Cup in 1976.

The 26-year-old midfielder, who is under contract until 2013, had said earlier in the week he wanted to “grow old” with Milan.

Mirror Sport can also reveal Kaka has already visited Manchester, travelling to the city at Christmas to see his close pal, compatriot and likely future club-mate Robinho.

That subs bench is unbelievable. Dida, Flamini, Inzaghi, Ronaldinho, Shevchenko. Three years ago you'd never have thought theyd be in the same team, but on the bench!

You forgot Senderos.

;)

Haha, I typed it and then deleted it with an audible 'nah'

s***, s***, s*** and s***, Inzaghi equals legend.

Please note the sentence after what you've highlighted. Id take any of that 'shit', most have fallen from grace, and Flamini's a cracking player still.
