He's played for KA 7 times

Imagine being a KA fan in 2008, hearing you'd re-signed him for the 7th time at the age 36. And then seeing him go on to make a further 60 appearances for the club.

Deano was also my coach when I played for KA

 wow, nice one, were you pro? Is it likely Spear is getting paid much?

Haha no I gave up football when I discovered alcohol and recreational drug use. Spear is probably not paid much and is on all accords only semi-pro. I guess he's provided housing and a job in fish processing

 ashame. That's quite a spectacular fall from grace for Spear then (no offence to KA!).

In fairness, must be tough for a young guy who had a really bright future to then, a few years later, be alone in a foreign country living on nothing.

I'm guessing he's hopping between summer and winter leagues in order to keep a wage coming in. Used to be quite a few non-league players who would go out to Singapore or Hong Kong to play over there for a few months, then come back.

Exactly. Spear also lives in one of the most isolated parts of Iceland and that's saying a lot. Actually just tonight there is supposed to be a storm there of tornado like proportions and the region has recent history of fatal and destructive avalanches. Something is keeping him here though and it's probably not wages. He could be making a bit more just in England alone so its quite confusing what keeps him here still.

Could probably make a bit of a game out of remembering our hyped up academy strikers who amounted to nothing:

Think they've all played for Blyth.

Had the pleasure of watching this turd play his last season out at Harrogate for megabucks and scoring fuck all. Never looked like he gave a shit.

Phil Airey used to score for fun. Has he just quit altogether? What a waste

Edit: Wiki says he's on loan at Whitley Bay from Blyth.

On loan from Blyth after being a prospect for Newcastle United, good talent scouts we have eh

Went on his twitter. Just talks about golf loads  I was really thinking he'd be good since he was scoring silly amounts for the reserves.
