Well deserved point. Well done to the lads (especially the new boys) and KK.

Let's hope we add few more quality players before the transfer window is shut, and if we do we could be in for a very surprising season.

Glad Allardyce was in the crowd. Can't get a job it seems.

He looked sick as a pig watching our effective passing football.

Think the main thing that impressed me today was that the players claerly all had some belief in themselves to go out and play some football while also working hard as hell when not on the ball.  So many times recently we've been to top four teams and looked like we were just waiting to get twatted, a couple of trips to Anfield especially spring to mind.  Today our passing and movement was not bad at all, and it was noticeable how often someone would bust a gut to make the option.  All signs of confidence and belief, which are so vital.  Only first game etc but encouraging, very encouraging.

Guest optimistic nit

brilliant performance i thought.

Jonas and Guthrie stand outs for me, with colo having a good game (except a few fouls in dangerous areas and giving the ball away). martins also did brilliantly for the goal.

i think people are being a bit harsh on zog. manure didnt create hardly anything down that side, and while what is being said about him is true to some extent, he wasnt appauling.

taylor also gets let off very lightly as well imo. manuited could well have been 2-0 up before we scored, both due to taylor mistakes. he created their 2 best chances of the half bar the goal, and him and but between them created all of manuited chances bar the goal. colo gave the ball away as well, but it didnt seem to lead to anything special for manure, whereas whenever taylor fucks up the opposition almost score, or do.

he had a much better second half mind. looked pretty good during it.

by the way if that was any other team of ours of the last 4 years, we would have lost 6,7 or 8-1 after conceding straight after scoring. oi was really impressed at the way we played after such a setback.

Just remembered watching it back, how quiet did the Sky commentators go when Martins scored?

Aye, wasn't in the script like!  Sounded pretty triumphant when Fletcher equalised and all.  Oh well.

Yep, when Martins scored I thought "Get the fuck in!!" then had to stop a minute to make sure he had scored because of a complete lack of any reaction.

I know, it was hilarious in the pub I was watching it in, I had to wait til they showed Martins running away to see he'd got it in.
