If it was rubbish the club would have nipped it in the bud by now. Its happening and fuck knows when fans will find out. I hope Keegan sticks the nut on the fat cunt if this has happened

I have a very stupid theory, i will have to admit that, but it's just aan idea i got. Could it be that Ashley is selling the club? Already has an agreement with a buyer of the club who wanted him to sack Keegan first and take the blame for it and then come in and buy the club and get his own manager in.

All this "Ashley out" stuff is getting a bit tiring. People have no idea what's happened and yet they're taking sides and threatening to boycott matches etc. It's surreal.

Maybe Llambias fired Keegan and now Ashley is trying to get him back? Just a thought, and as likely as other explanation given the delay in making an announcement.

NEWCASTLE United can confirm that meetings between members of the Board and manager Kevin Keegan were held both yesterday and today.

Kevin has raised a number of issues and those have been discussed with him.

The Club wants to keep progressing with its long-term strategy and would like to stress that Kevin is extremely important, both now and in the future.

Newcastle United values the effort and commitment shown by Kevin since his return to St. James' Park and wants him to continue to play an instrumental role as manager of the Club.

For the avoidance of doubt the Club has not sacked Kevin Keegan as manager.
