Robster
I care as much about Guthrie breaking an opponents leg as fans of other teams care when their player puts a Newcastle player out for months. ie - NOT ONE EFFING BIT. wat a nice bloke you are I'll lose not one wink of sleep over your opinion chuckles. nar i get ure point. cant really cry over another clubs injury, part and parcel of the game. Was a cynical challenge but it happens We shall definitely see far worse challenges this season. Amdy Fayes for one was far worse - nasty two-footer
Yorkie
'I took one look at the fixture list and I was devastated. We've got games against Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham that I'll miss. Those are the games you're desperate to play in. Serves you right, cocky twat. TRon
Good news. Fuck morals, we can't afford them with our squad at the moment. We can't afford the daft tit to be missing the next 3 games through suspension either with our squad...that's why the tackle makes him a knob rather than a hero but I don't expect that to sink in with some on here until they see the line up against West Ham. Guest craigfaganFTM
Ashley had a nice winning at the casino and he invested it in a nice bribe. Possibly the first positive action he's taken as chairman. Roman did the same thing without the casino. That is the only way to explain the FA this week and I'm sticking with it, I don't want to believe anything else.
Guest optimistic nit
why would ashley bribe the fa when he may well not be here by the end of guthrie's 3 match ban?

Colos Short and Curlies
Hull striker Craig Fagan may take legal action against Danny Guthrie over his broken leg. (Daily Mail) He would have to prove that Guthrie assaulted him though and it was not just a very poor challenge wouldn't he? My law is more than a bit rusty, but I'm fairly sure that you cannot sue for an injury ocurring from normal play in football (you remove the duty of care argument as you are agreeing to take part in an activity with a good chance of injury), and a mistimed/misplaced challenge would be deemed to be 'normal play'. I'm sure someone on here has a better grasp of the Personal Injury aspect here and will correct me if I'm wrong

pedro111
Havent read the whole thread so this may have been covered but how in the hell do they know it was Guthrie that broke his leg? The hairline fracture could have been casued at any point during the match in another tackle or merely through an awkward landing.
Greg
Hull winger Craig Fagan has forgiven Newcastle's Danny Guthrie for breaking his leg earlier in the season. Fagan's left leg was fractured by Guthrie's wild kick in stoppage time during the Tigers' 2-1 Premier League win at St James' Park on 13 September. The 25-year-old, who has not played since, said: "It was a bad tackle, he knows that. I just want to get back. "Obviously I'm not going to be his best mate over it, but I've forgiven him. It's all gone now. It's in the past." Hull face Newcastle again, this time at the KC Stadium, in the third round of the FA Cup on 3 January in a game that has been earmarked as a possible comeback target for Fagan. But he insists he will be back sooner and having resumed light training he is looking at the visit of Sunderland in the Premier League on 20 December to return to action. "It's been a long road but I'm looking to get back involved with the first team over the next couple of weeks," he said. "I'm looking to be on the bench when we play Sunderland. That would be a good start." Hull boss Phil Brown admitted he was delighted to have drawn Newcastle in the FA Cup. He told BBC Look North: "I must admit I punched the air. One, it was a home tie. Two, it was a big club and three, it's winnable." Brown added that another long-term injury victim, Anthony Gardner, could also be fit for the tie on 3 January. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/hull_city/7759293.stm
