Lotus
.................Given................. Taylor....Colo...Bass....Enrique ............Geri.......Butt............ Duff............Owen.............Zog .................Xisco.................... Guthrie to come on for last 30 mins for either Butt or Geremi, probs Geremi. Why not start him? He's been our best CM this season by miles (not that it's saying much). Flimsy reason really, neither him nor Geremi can last 90 mins but i would reckon Guthrie would be better coming on and running around for 30 mins like a maniac protecting our (optimistic) lead. Skirge
Beye is 50-50, so lets hope he makes it, he has been a miss, not overly fussed about Enrique being back as Bassong does a good job and I dunno if he would be used at CB is Enrique and Beye are back. Beye---Colo----Bass----Jose
hakka
I will be very surprised if we got a draw or win away at Goodison Park. Hoping we surprise a few, but braced for a loss. I'd play... .................Given....................... Geremi....Colo...Cacapa....Bassong Duff......Guthrie........Butt......Zog ...........Xisco.....Owen............. Guthrie hasn't been injured, so should come straight back in to it. Taylor is a liability and should be put on the bench and only come on if Cacapa isn't performing. I'd still play Butt, and let Guthrie push forward a bit. Duff and Zog on the wings and Xisco and Owen up front. I don't want to risk Beye or Enrique just yet, we put Martins back on as soon as he was better and he picked up another injury. I'd rather ease them both in to the game as they are very important for us.
Guest Darth Toon
Looking at Kinnear's comments, I reckon we'll be going for (assuming Beye doesn't make it - give him the extra break to get him 100%) Given Geremi - Taylor - Coloccini - Enrique Duff - Butt - Guthrie - N'Zogbia Ameobi - Owen Subs: Harper, Cacapa, Bassong, Xisco, Ranger, couple more kids Looks a fair bit stronger than we've been able to muster the last few games - with Everton low on confidence too and Cahill out (the difference in their results when he's in the team is pretty big) I think we might scrape a confidence-boosting draw. relámpago blanco
I've got a feeling we might sneak this. They aren't exactly in form and Kinnear is a good motivator, we have the players, we just lacked confidence and having a specialist leftback will help massively and Geremi has alot of experience at RB. Guthrie is also vital as he's basically controlled the tempo of our games when he's played.
Guest Gallowgate Mag
Hopefully they'll lose tonight to put their morale on rock bottom. It's a shame Oba isn't fit, this sort of game is made for him.

That midfield has a fairly well balanced look and also should provide plenty of movement in theory. Will be interesting to see if they provide it rather than go hiding. KaKa
If Joe pulls this off and we really start performing it would be bloody impressive. I almost feel silly for it, but I am feeling more optimistic. Duff's second half performance last week is the best thing he has ever done at this club. That made me take notice to what Kinnear might be able to do during his time here. Even under Keegan Duff wasn't coming through. I really, really hope this works out and he gets us going over the next few weeks. It would be great for the club and for him also. He deserves a bit of success for coming in and being so positive and excited about the opportunity, and not acting like he was doing us a favour like El Tel was. Neil
You probably couldn't ask for a better game. Regardless of the result tonight, our fitness will be lower, and if we do end up losing then confidence will be especially low. Our defence is parting like the Red Sea, and whilst you shouldn't necessarily expect something, I'm (sadly) not going to be surprised if you get something from this. Be wary of our home form though. It's very, err, consistent.

midds
When 2 struggling teams play each other the result is always up in the air. Score first and I'd fancy us to go on and win it - If Everton score first we'll crumble. First goal wins it imo.
