Segun Oluwaniyi
That's nonsense, but Fabio is definitely done. Signing him after the WC was a typical terrible "galatico" signing. Would kill for Ramos though. Pick all the stuff he won in 2006 out of: Individual * Euro 2000 Team of the Tournament * FIFA World Player of the Year 2006 * Ballon D'or: 2006 * 2006 FIFA World Cup Silver Ball Award * 2006 FIFA World Cup Team of the Tournament * Oscar del calcio * Serie A Footballer of the Year: 2006 * Italian Footballer of the Year: 2006 * Serie A Defender of the Year: 2005, 2006 - Runner-up: 2000, 2001, 2002 * UEFA Team of the Year: 2006 * FIFPro World XI: 2006, 2007 And remember they got him for a knockdown price because of the Juve scandal. I understand all that...but it really does bring you back to the era when they were trotting out aging versions of Ronaldo, Figo, Zidane, and Beckham without winnning anything. To be fair to them, they won two titles after this, but this did coincide with the removal of those players forming the past era.

I think some of the players bar Beckham won a lot of trophies at Real Madird not the league as you say but they did okay.

The league is very very competitive and the football is usually pretty entertaining. I guess the goals just don't flow.
Thespence
Goals tend to go up in the domestic league of nations that do well at international tournaments. It must be the feel good factor.

Guest
Speaking of La Liga, I personally love the rule where a team is unable to approach another club during the season for another manager and have to appoint someone out of work...imagine if we'd have that rule over here in 2004. cubaricho
Did Moyes decide he liked the look of Jagielka's creativity so stuck him up front? If I remember correctly he used to play up there from time to time with Sheffield United. And to be fair, he did keep that ball alive today for their equalizer.
