I like how it's "Andy Carroll possibly couldn't be injured...he must be being sold" And I get called for being negative. He's not getting sold ffs

He's staying, you bunch of sadistic cunts.

"Andy has a thigh injury, which is being assessed," said Pardew. "He has travelled down to London with the doctor to see just how serious, or not serious, it is. It could be serious but we're all a bit in the dark at this stage.

"You are talking about one of the best young players in the country, who has had a fantastic first half of the season. We don't want him to be missing for too long, that's for sure."

Shola Ameobi, who has recovered from a hamstring injury, will replace Carroll at Wigan on Sunday. "Can Newcastle score without Andy Carroll? Yes, I think so," said Pardew. "We have enough in the group to suggest we can. Hopefully, he will not be out for too long."

:undecided:

Man City he was holding his leg, dunno if its the same injury though.

Think the City one was an impact injury on his ankle. IIRC.

Yeah, the City one didn't look like the thigh injury that's ruled him out of Wigan. He seemed to run that one off eventually but when you put all your eggs in one basket... :undecided:

The news about Carroll is the worst possible start to 2011 ; hope it isn't a serious or long term injury or things are going to get very sticky indeed.

Just shows the folly of Ashley's policy re ; transfers in our first season back in the PL - this could cost him almost as dearly as his 'brilliant' punt on B&B during the Financial crisis.

how much should he put in for transfers when he's basically bankrolling the club as it is ?

Yeah, our transfers were awful in the summer. Send Ben Arfa, Tiote and Gosling back to where they came from.
