Dinho lad
Anybody else watching MOTD2? I swear Pardew just said "and he absolutely raped him" in regards to Essien shrugging Ched Evans off the ball  Class. That term should be used more in commentary iyam. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/article5920061.ece The BBC has apologised after one of its football pundits compared a tackle by a Chelsea player to rape. Alan Pardew, the former Charlton Athletic, West Ham United and Reading manager, was describing a challenge by Michael Essien, the Chelsea midfield player, during Match Of The Day 2 on Sunday night. After the Ghana international clattered into Ched Evans, the Manchester City forward, Pardew said: "He's a strong boy. He knocks him off - he absolutely rapes him." No apology was made during or after the programme, but the BBC issued a statement today which said: "Alan Pardew apologises unconditionally for any offence caused by remarks he made in the Match of the Day 2 programme last night." A total of 35 complaints have been received about the incident, the spokeswoman added. Pardew is not one of the show's regular analysts, but is used from time to time. The BBC said no decision had been made about whether he would be invited back on the programme after last night's incident. Pardew lost his job as the Charlton manager last November. Ronaldo
christ that was horrible, fair play to West Brom for battling. No chance they'll survive in a million years though
Neil
West Brom possibly missed their last chance to realistically get themselves out of it? West Ham were abysmal, there was a chance there.
Pilko
Why were both teams playing such weak lineups? I noticed Martis, Dorrans, Tomkins, Sears and Stanislas all featured. Savio is shit btw

Guest quklaani
It was three last season. I'm glad to see that someone has pointed out that the scoreline on saturday flattered the scousers. I'd hardly begrudge their fans being full of it, but the way almost every "journalist" has claimed they hammered us for the entire game (they really didnt) and were utterly masterful (they really weren't) rather caught me off guard. I wonder how many of these people actually watched the game. I've seen my tream truly destroyed before, and Liverpool's five decent chances in 90 minutes doesn't even remotely compare to maulings we've been given by yourselves, Chelsea, Milan and others. They were the better team, and it hurts me to say it but they deserved to beat us, but surely anyone who was paying attention would admit it could just as easily have been 2-2 as 4-1. captainhaircut
Why Arsenal rested everyone? FA Cup is their best chance of a trophy. They've only rested Nasri, Clichy and Toure. Other than those three and those who are injured, its their strongest team.

Robster
Would a Hull victory tonight be the worst thing in the world in terms of the fact that an FA Cup Semi final may have an affect on their concentration in their remaining league fixtures
