Guest sicko2ndbest
Ameobi and Carroll up front. If we get the ball in the box they could cause some damage
Guest firetotheworks
Shola Returns For Derby Start SHOLA Ameboi makes a shock return to the Newcastle United starting XI for this afternoon's Tyne-Wear derby clash at St.James' Park. The 27-year-old has been sidelined with an ankle injury since the 2-1 win over Spurs in December but will partner Andy Carroll in attack against the Black Cats. Kevin Nolan is also handed his full debut. More to follow in Live Match Centre ... i wouldnt bet against shola scoring tbh.
Mistle17
Carroll/Ameobi doesnt give us much (if any) pace upfront but at least Jonas and Duff will have something to aim at. C'MOOOON TOON!!!!!

Big Geordie
Plenty height upfront - worried about the lack of pace though. Need performances from Duff and Jonas.

Cajun
Two pretty wank sides to be honest. Unfortunately it could come down to a battle of the strikers, that scares the shit out of me
Cronky
I don't like Shola and Carroll as a pairing up front. They're very similar and we'll have very little pace going forward.
