Taylor says Magpies boss is 'at best disrespectful, at worst deeply offensive' Published Date: 31 January 2009 Joe Kinnear's mispronunciation of Charles N'Zogbia's name is "at best disrespectful and at worst deeply offensive", according to Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Gordon Taylor. In a television interview earlier this week, Kinnear referred to the Frenchman as 'insomnia', sparking a row between the Newcastle manager and his player. N'Zogbia released a statement saying he would not play for the Magpies again under Kinnear, but the former Wimbledon boss retaliated by saying the argument was a "desperate attempt to engineer a move away from Newcastle United". Taylor has now waded into the clash between the Newcastle pair. In a statement, the players' chief said: "Why should we not expect Charles N'Zogbia to be upset when his own manager cannot even remember his correct name in public but chooses to say 'insomnia'? "Respect runs two ways. "This is at best disrespectful and at worst deeply offensive, especially as insomnia is as difficult to pronounce as N'Zogbia. It's not good when people who should cannot remember your name. "Ask Graham Taylor how he feels when he gets called Gordon Taylor. We are our name. "The word (insomnia) gives the media a stick with which to beat the lad." Utter f***ing bollocks. The PFA can be pricks at times, there is no mention about how disrespectful N'Zogbia has been by getting his agent and intrviews in France to state his desire, as it has been said, if he is that unhappy why doesn't he put in a formal transfer request.... also failed to mentioned his comments about not playing for newcastle again. N'zogbia, Given and Owen leaving the club does say something about the ambition and current state of the club. However, the way in which he has gone about leaving the club (including before the ashley regime) has been disgraceful to say the least. At least Owen and Given have kept their mouths fairly shut. In terms of the deal, if Milner is worth 12m then Zoggy's fee should match it IMO. However, i will take into account the fact that we bum raped Villa for Milner so 6m is about right. Getting a solid player coming in the opposite direction is a big bonus for us. The million dollar question is will we re-invest with the money recouped?..... i doubt it. Lets hope N'Zog and his Arsewipe agent dont throw the toys out of the pram at Wigan and fuck everything up. On the outside it looks like we are selling two big players, but I think both deals are for the benefit of the club, both players also wanted out so its best that they go. I'm quite happy having S.Taylor at RB, he will be fired up for this one (hopefully not too reckless though) and normally plays pretty well there. Think the game is too important to just throw a new boy in without any training or meeting his new collegues, we dont have alot of choice with Nolan though.
