Some old Ryan Taylor thread

To be fair to the club, they deserve credit if they get Nolan, Taylor and maybe one more.

Add that to the last lot of signings and it would suggest that they at least know where our problems lie... unlike our previous skill of signing players in positions we don't need and ignoring the problem areas.

Well, not entirely, because we still do not have cover at left back. Would not be so important if Insomnia would play there when needed without whining as much, but there we go. No news on loaning Riise? That seemed like a good move. I am glad they are attempting to address some of the issues but January is always a difficult time for transfers anyway.

Versatile, can hit a good free kick, faster than Geremi and only £800,000 =

Not necessarily.

I've been without SSN or net access all day, I can't be arsed to read past the first page of this. Had to rely on people texting with info, and even then it's always ropey.

What is the fee?

The 'Ronnie' said it could be £1.5m, paid in installements - so maybe the quoted £800,000 is the first installment ?

And I'm not paying too much attention to this 5pm deadline... there was confirmation of Berbatov for Man United at about 12.40am on the midnight deadline, but he did sign beforehand.

About six o clock and he still could be available.

Optimism ftw

We're not talking about the transfer deadline though are we. We're talking about the 5pm deadline for him to play on Sunday.

So is he, just in a different context. Taylor could have signed 15 minutes ago for all we know. The club isn't known for announcing things ASAP are they now.

Would be funy if we just kept things quit and let the mackems think Nolan is the only signing before the game, and then when the games start put out:

:kinnear:

Harper

Ebondo-Coloccini-Bassong-Enrique

Jonas-Veloso-Nolan-Rosenkrands

Bent-Martins

I think they would shit them self.

Who's Rosenkrands?

Ahh ok. I see where you're coming from. Dont think this deal is as far along as the medical though, despite the reports.

Aye, the recent reports seem to be a bit all over the place with what's actually happening.

* Appearances (Goals)

Ryan Anthony Taylor (born 19 August 1984 in Liverpool, Merseyside) is an English footballer who currently plays as a defender for Wigan Athletic

Taylor scored his first goal in the Premier League with a cracker for Wigan against his current club Newcastle United on 25 February 2007. From just outside the penalty area, Taylor let one of his specialist free kicks fly straight into the top corner with the returning Newcastle goalkeeper, Shay Given left stranded, after 40 minutes. Wigan went on to win the match.

Taylor had the worst year in his professional football career with injuries in 2006,a low point in his career. He broke his fifth metatarsal in a FA Cup match against Leeds United and then, in his first outing back, he broke his leg in a reserve clash against Newcastle.

In late 2007, Taylor made a resurgence into the Wigan first team, providing several excellent performances under new manager Steve Bruce, including his second Premier League goal on 26 December 26, with another free kick against Newcastle. Exactly a year later, Taylor would score another free kick, also against Newcastle.

On 15 November 2008, Taylor scored yet another goal against Newcastle, a long-range shot from 20 yards. His next goal would also come against Newcastle, on Boxing Day, bringing his record to 4 goals in 4 consecutive games against Newcastle, 3 of which came from free kicks, and two consecutive goals against Newcastle on Boxing Days.

Signing for Newcastle united for 1 million pounds  ;D
