taxfree
1-1 now. First teamer Tchoyi made it 1-0 to WBA before Airey levelled after a Michael Richardson cross.

dinotheprehistoricgeordie
Is Vuckic injured? He had an operation to fix something in his leg/knee. But he's still in a canny bit of pain so it may have went wrong. It's looking like he wont be playing again this season
Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Cheers Dino. Sounds like a gutter for him.
dinotheprehistoricgeordie
Cheers Dino. Sounds like a gutter for him. Yeah he's getting a bit down about the constant injuries / the fact they don't know what's wrong exactly. Still he's young there's still time for him to play his way into the first team. Hopefully he'll have a good pre-season which will help him for next season.

Doug
As I live nearby, I sauntered down to the reserve game yesterday following a car throught the WBA training ground gates just on 3pm as the game kicked off. Imagine my surprise as a frantic minion tore up to me coughing and spluttering that I had no right to be there and should leave immediately. After calming him down and assuring him I was not a terrorist and my umbrella was not a weapon I left and walked around the outside of the ground to take up a position outside the fence in a hedge where I was joined by two old fellows who were WBA fans of some 40years or more. We could just about see the game taking place through the mesh of the fence from a distance of a football pitch width away and through the 50 or so people lining the touchline. Together we chatted about the season and how I had made the 400mile round trip on Saturday to see us beat their deadly rivals Wolves 4-1 and how pleased I was that they had beaten Carrols Liverpool etc. We obviously could be seen by the people on the touchline as one took pity and came over to us and pushed a teamsheet through the mesh for us to see who was playing. The thought crossed my mind that if I was someone in authority there I would have said let them in, there are only 3 of them. It brought it home to me just how little we matter as fans to these people at the clubs. Villa will still want my £41 for a ticket this Sunday however while some Villa fans pay £15. Talk about feeling taken for granted.
Stu
Just say that you're someone's cousin, that's never failed. Especially when they don't ask who.

BeloEmre
Blackburn res - Newcastle res tonight! 20mins - NEWCASTLE GOAL (0-1): Patrick McLaughlin's long throw causes havoc for Rovers and although they get the ball half clear, Grant Hanley then barges into the back of Ryan Donaldson for a blatant spot-kick. In-form Phil Airey steps up to send Kean the wrong way with a cool penalty - his tenth goal in 13 second-string starts this season.
Pilko
In-form Phil Airey steps up to send Kean the wrong way with a cool penalty - his tenth goal in 13 second-string starts this season. Now we know the real reason Venky's sacked Fat Sam - he refused to play in nets for the stiffs.
BeloEmre
24mins - BLACKBURN GOAL (1-1): Newcastle force a corner but Rovers clear their lines and then break with pace through Diouf. He flies past the chasing McLaughlin before playing in Ruben Rochina, his strike partner, who is scampering down the middle. The pass is perfect and so is the finish, as the Spaniard chips the ball delicately over the onrushing Krul. A great counter-attack and a fantastic end product from the Blackburn man. oldtype
We seem to be producing some pretty decent reserve level forwards as of late.
BeloEmre
38mins - BLACKBURN GOAL (2-1): What a big save from Kean that now looks, as Rovers go straight downfield and score. It's the same combination who were behind the first, but this time it's Rochina who plays in Diouf, and the Senegal international shows great feet to take the ball round Krul before tapping into the empty net. BeloEmre
69mins - NEWCASTLE GOAL (3-2): Ryan Donaldson, who was on the bench at Villa Park on Sunday, has his second reserve goal in three games since returning from his loan at Hartlepool. He picks the ball up down the left some 50 yards from goal and suddenly accelerates, virtually unchallenged, towards the edge of the box before placing a pinpoint shot into the bottom corner. BeloEmre
77mins - NEWCASTLE GOAL (3-3): It's now an amazing 11 goals in 13 starts this season for Phil Airey, who has scored a tremendous strikers' goal to draw United level. Tavernier's low cross from the right was dangerous but it was Airey's first-touch which created the chance, giving him room to shoot on the turn, and although his strike was not the cleanest of his young career, it was right in the corner and trickled past Kean. This second half has now come to life in the same way as the first-half.

BeloEmre
89mins - BLACKBURN GOAL (4-4): This game continues to amaze and now Rovers are level. Michael Potts has too much room to run into and he lets fly from 20 yards with a fine curling effort which beats Krul all ends up and was bound for the net from the moment it left his boot. 87mins - NEWCASTLE GOAL (3-4): But now Newcastle have a fourth, and surely that will be the decisive goal! From the corner following Kean's fine save, Inman swings it in and James Perch meets it with a powerful header which squirms past a man on the line. Thespence
Donaldson seems to have improved since his loan spell. It can't be goalscoring as he never scored any while down there.
