Looks like he ate an U23 on the way through to goal.

The same player has now said in an interview that he helped give "bragging rights" to the Sunderland fans  :)

When their first team sunk to a level where they have to compete with big clubs' junior sides bragging rights were probably lost forever.

The cheesy chip head player got a weirdly great cheer when he scored, it was a total piss take for 90mins of them.

They just couldn’t see it though, funny as fuck watching them squirm the whole match.

McGuire got a good round of “who the fucking hell are you “   after his little meltdown.

Let them get to Wembley, it may take their eyes off the job in hand  :naughty:

No Sorensen (Though this is apparently just because international duty)

Sangare didn't play and Roberts wasn't in the squad. Wouldn't be surprised to see the latter involved tommorow, he's probably earned it this year.

Roberts has been included according to The Chronicle, Sangare might be as well as we're short in CM.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-6658963/Newcastle-set-confirm-departure-former-U23-coach-Peter-Beardsley.html

The club and Beardsley's lawyers have been negotiating the terms of his departure and a statement is expected once an agreement has been reached.

Several academy players have made claims against the club's former Under 23 coach.

Last year, an independent appeal found that Beardsley had made discriminatory comments and that his treatment of one player, Yasin Ben El-Mhanni, was 'generally unfair'.

It is now approaching 13 months since Beardsley was suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.

Some of those who gave evidence against Beardsley have since left the club, but they have still been frustrated by the lack of progress.

There has also been concern among those involved that neither the Premier League nor Football Association have intervened.

Beardsley's role has been filled by Ben Dawson, with former Newcastle goalkeeper Steve Harper acting as assistant.

First-team boss Rafa Benitez said in August that he would like to see the matter 'sorted out' but has since been barred from talking about the case.

Newcastle declined to comment. Beardsley denies the allegations.

Sounds fucked.  If he was guilty he probably would have resigned but then why did the others leave?  Seems highly unusual.

5 - 1 now Toure hatrick.

23 minutes in

Blyth playing the reserves?

There physio is playing LB apparently.

Aye, he's been used in emergencies once or twice over the years. Retired quite young to focus on physio work. It's not Derek Wright out there!

Why would Blyth play their reseves?

Game falls at a bad time between the Orient trophy game away and a big league game vs Darlington. Its too much to expect of part time players.

Aye, Blyth are having a canny run from what I've see. They put out a message asking for more people to turn up and watch, if they can get 1000 each home game that should secure them financially going forward. Crazy to think how fine the margins are for most clubs.
