Guest Ice__Mag
Harper R Taylor Colo Bassong Jose Geremi Guthrie Smith Jonas Martins Carroll Bit harsh on Loven, but i remember Carroll causing them problems in the cup game at their place, and i think with that right side we'd get some good delivery into him. Butt for Smith if he's fit like.... Edit: meant Raylor at RB not Saylor
Guest Phil K
Must win. Than f***ing frail w***** Owen better start earning his pennies. I've already stated my doubt over this "injury" The rumour of him going to Man City in the summer prompted me to say during the game down there, he'll be off the field with an "injury" very early on - and lo..... In some ways it waould be better for Owen and Viduka to have injuries that are definitiely going to keep them out of the side for the rest of the season. Neither player will put themselves about 100% and risk an injury between now and then.

iklgizmo
I have a feeling we will batter them. 4-1 to us. to be honest we need to beat them. Not just for the points, but so that the players can realise that they are better than the shit at the bottom of the league. If we dont beat them, we dont deserve to play in this league. Plus, we really owe them a good beating!
Minhosa
Biggest game in years. Wish it was at home as the crowd would be a 12th man. I'd be inclined to chance Owen, his name on the teamsheet will scare the hull defence. If they see Shola's moniker they'll take their morning papers out with them. How could he fake an injury though? Surely if he had one he would be sent to specialists, who then would know theres nothing wrong with him?

Guest toonlass
I hate the terms must-win and 6 pointers but we HAVE to win this game. Its getting far too close for comfort now.

Especially in Owen's case, he's going to have to remind people of what a top goal scorer he is in the remainder of the season if he wants £100,000 per week off anyone. Skirge
Will be interesting to see if Owen does indeed make his return for this game and if it will be a start of as a sub, for me it should be as a sub, maybe the last 30 mins or so. ---------------------Harper S.Tay-------Colo-------------Bass----------Jose R.Tay-------Guth------------Smith--------Jonas --------------Oba-------------Love

Beezeri
It's a definate MUST WIN game but I'm shit scared even though it's against poor performing Hull. I wasn't too surprised to see us performing decent against ManU as we always do against bigger and better sides(apart from that one Liverpool game) but against lower sides we always manage to collapse somehow and the fact we have already played 3 times against Hull this season with 2 losses at home and 1 goal scored in total! It's no surprise that our central midfield is faling us time after time but against ManU Geremi for once did actually quite good. Unlike Butt he managed to hold up the ball and actually find a decent opening for a pass instead of just giving it away and just invite more pressure on our defence. We've got no pace nor brains in that area of play which is very much worrying as it's easily the most important part of the team in today's modern football! Since Sir Bobby...our managers have appreciated more effort and work rate than any other attribute. No doubt it's good for a midfielder to have some legs and effort but what's the point running around like headless chickens like one certain Mr.Smith and Mr.Butt Barton & Nolan is an ideal option from our current squad but as both are missing god I hope Guthrie will be back! Just think about it if we'll see Butt & Smith in the centre of the park and maybe even Ameobi starting as well...we'd be doomed! My preferred team: Harper Saylor Coloccini Bassong Enrique Geremi Guthrie Lovenkrands Jonas Owen Oba And the team probably starting: Harper Saylor Colo Bassong Enrique Raylor Butt Smith Jonas Lovenkrands Owen

In Owen's case I'm pretty certain he is desperate to drum up some late interest from other clubs so we'll see the best of him in the final part of the season I think. On the game itself, I think Hughton's caution might actually work in our favour for this one. He won't want to change the side after a half decent performance against Man U, and that side is probably better suited to playing away from home than the team he might have picked if eveyone was available last week.
