Guest Heneage
Why aren't we going man for man formation that played against Man Utd. Arsenal's back line is a lot weaker than Man Utd.
Beren
We've only lost a handful of times at SJP against Arsenal since the Prem started, and though we're hardly at our best, they're not as incisive as they have been in years gone by. Feel optimistic. Individual errors and refereeing will be crucial IMO.
Big Geordie
4-5-1? Wonderful. We'll struggle to create anything - suspect Arsenal won't have to get out of 2nd gear. I'd sooner go 4-4-2, with Carroll and Martins up top.
The Prophet
Pathetic from the Gillette Soccer Saturday panel really. A textbook view of Newcastle from four men who don't watch the games week in week out. Things like: 'Michael Owen will gurantee you goals' 'Without Michael Owen they will lose today' A half fit Owen is a passanger in the team. If he plays like he did against Hull we're better off bringing him off the bench in the second half. To think we need him to get something off Arsenal is just pathetic, it will be a team effort if we something today. 'Martins is the only striker playing, they must be going 4-5-1' 'Even if they stay up Martins will leave in the summer' They obviously didn't watch the Man United game, just because Martins is the only striker up front it doesn't mean we won't have someone like Lovenkrands playing off him. Oh and as for the second comment Martins already told the radio its dependant on how much ambition we show in the summer should we stay up. 'Bassong has been decent this season' Try outstanding. If Man United had of found him they'd of been wanking themselves silly. There was more as well but you get the picture. They really don't have a clue. Ashley17
It was horrific. Made worse by the 10 minutes of "Sunderland are going to be magnificent!!!" Makes me fucking sick.
Big Geordie
With regards to the team we put out - am again going to put my neck on the line and say that it won't have been picked by Hughton or Calderwood. Kinnear or Wise will be calling the shots. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

Kinnear or Wise will be calling the shots. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. That's what I think as well especially as Hughton saw firsthand last year how to get the best out of Owen and how the team improved without Smith. Guest Heneage
The fact they still employ Merson is laughable. Scorer of Wolves goal the other week, "Sylvian - Eboue Blake" he clearly knows nothing, there are decent pundits out there, and some who at least know their information and stats, likes of Le Tissier, Marwood, Francis, Kamara, they should get him in the studio at least. Aye I'm sure he was calling Coloccini 'Cudicini' a couple of weeks ago.

Decky
Could be bad today if we play like shit again and get raped by Arsenal. Now that we are in the bottom 3 and 2 points from safety, the fans will be nervous as fuck. Could be similar scenes to Liverpool/Sheffield Utd last season.
