Ryan Taylor/Nolan

Recommended Posts

Two more shit players we will be lumbered with in the championship or lower over the next few years.

I didnt think anyone could best Viduka for lack of pace and mobility, to think this guy was touted as the next Gerrard.

Ryan Taylor is more interested in taking out players than playing football, the so called set piece specialist makes Geremi look like Ronaldo.

Absolute fucking garbage the pair of them.

Clogger is too generous a word.

Bolton should give Megson freedom of the place for getting £4.5m for Nolan.

As for Taylor, I've seen better right backs in my locals over 40 team. Dogshit.

On the plus side, Nolan has so little ability, he makes Michael Owen look like Kaka in comparison. I don't think Owen's football ability gets enough credit. Ok he's lost his pace but at least he can control a ball and pass it without falling over.

Nolan is overweight, slow, clumbersome and generally a poor player.

He is living off that one season when he looked good.

A sign of how shit Nolan is, is that when Smith came on he actually looked good!

A friend of mine who supports Wigan laughed his bollocks of when we signed Taylor. I thought he was just venting his disappointment at him leaving. How wrong i was. His strngth is his set pieces. Says it all

I apologise now for giving you stick over your Nolan bashing, I wanted to give him a chance but you were spot on.

I can remember him doing ONE thing today and that was a standard shot 90% of this forum could have done.

Unfortunately, not handing a manager much money tends to result in signings like this.

Its an absolute joke that a club like Wigan got one of our best players and we got one of their poorest in return, and somebody at the club presumably must have thought it was a good deal or something.

That just about sums up our ambition and our total lack of knowledge on how to run a football club.

Cheers mate. I would much rather have been proven wrong though. SBR might not be what he was but he knows a footballer when he sees one, and he didn't rate either Nolan or Taylor.

Two terrible players. Taylor especially. Even when we were looking better towards the end, Taylor was keeping his usual shite performance. Everything he does it shite.

To be fair, Kinnear was never going to be able to attract anyone of quality.

Maybe we should create a petition for R.Taylor, Nolan and Butt to be dropped from the team! Maybe that would caught the attention of the management team...or not

R Taylor - 'dead ball specialist' that is the only reason i can think of for him playing today.

Nolan - Guthie just returning from injury - didnt have 90 minutes in him today.  Shearer gambled with strikers as substitutes.

Butt - who in our squad, is competent in defensive midfield??.. dont say Colo.

Barton and thats about it. Either Guthrie is more useful tracking back. Butt jogs around infront of the area, thats his defensive work.

The continued presence of Nolan, Butt and Owen is absolutely killing us as a team

Particularly Owen who we seem to be pinning our hopes of survival on.

He can actually pass the ball and move and like it or not he IS the best finisher at the club.  People really want him out of the team?  Play him behind Martins and Viduka, ala last year and i think it will improve the team.

Nolan, another journey man who goes missing for 90 minutes in every game. Why do we insist on signing these players? Not doubt Kinnear will buy loads of them if he is manager again in the summer.

:nods: Nolan is fifth behind Barton, Guthrie, Geremi and Smith imo.

I'd rather have Colo or Cacapa out there.

His contribution in the last few weeks has been almost nothing though.

Guest Alan Shearer 9

If Enrique and Barton get fit and replace these two we'll stay up. Unfortunately that has to happen before the next game.
