dinotheprehistoricgeordie
Yer nice accurate ratings Pilko although i will say i wish Bassong would just clear it sometimes rather than turning back into the middle got lucky on a few occasions. Anyone got a clip of the guy forgot who it was went for a header in the center circle sliced it and fell on his ass hilarious! He scared the shit out of me a few times doing that. TRon
Have to say as well, that what a refreshing but frustratingly obvious change it was to have Guthrie taking the corners, all of them were brilliant. He had a very good game overall too. Well played Danny. guthrie didn't have a good game, very good corners yes but he was better off the pitch than on. the strollers done it tonight. viduka, butt and duff really came up trumps. lovenkrantz (wide left) and martins to start on saturday. jonas on the right with a racket up his arse and the threat of dragging him off after 30mins if he doesn't show willing. Guthrie ran his heart out in an unfamiliar position. I thought he was a key factor in the win.
Guest firetotheworks
Can we bring on a second goalkeeper? Just noticed this post. I doubt it was serious, and Im probably being insane, but can you actually do that? Honestly, what the f*** do you think? Pressing post for that post is probably the worst decision Ive ever made. Ronaldo
I'm looking forward to getting back to Boro tomorrow feel no sympathy for them whatsoever, and anyone who saw them arriving in their Linthorpe buses like caged animals today knows exactly why, twats

midds
Tremendous stuff. Respect to Shearer for having the balls to haul off Owen. £17m, £100k a week, club captain and one of his best mates in the game but he wasn't getting the job done so he subbed him. Took a lot of bollocks to do that and leaves me thinking he might just be the nasty bastard to rip the club apart and re-build it regardless of what division we're in next season. Fucking giddy uuuuup.

They have far too many Newcastle threads on the 1st page. About Taylor, Fulham match, Pete Graves, saying we're going OTT thinking we've won the league, Newcastle fans on the radio etc etc. Their Newcastle v Boro match thread has 74 fucking pages. Creepy, obsessed cunts.

JH
Hats off to everyone; fans, players and manager alike. Tonight was just a brilliant night to be at St James Park. The fans really played their part, never got on the players back and continued to support them throughout. The players. My word, where the fuck have you been hiding that? They ALL showed heart tonight, and I can't pick out one player who didn't look like they cared tonight. Special mentions go to Duff who absolutely ruled LB, Beye who was here, there and everywhere, the midfield which actually looked half decent, Easily Nolan's best game for us, Guthrie's set pieces were actually going past the first man (the delivery for Taylors goal was pin point perfect), but most importantly, the award for fat lazy Aussie bastard who actually played out of his skin tonight goes to Mark Viduka. His hold up play and strength were immense. His movement actually looked good. Easily my MOTM. Hats off to Shearer. Time and time again I've said that Owen is someone I'd have on the pitch because he's always the most likely to score, but it wasn't working so he took him off and brought on Martins, and it worked. Same for Jonas, Lovenkrands just oozes class sometimes; I'd definitely consider a year extension. If we played like that on a regular basis, we'd have been safe yonks ago. We're not safe yet, but we took a fucking huge step towards it tonight. Let's just celebrate this for a few days

Nobody
Taylor is two goals shy of having scored as many league goals this season as our entire midfield combined (not counting Lövenkrands as a midfielder).
