LoveItIfWeBeatU
Zlatan gave Hart a right mouthful of aggressive expletives after Sweden's second goal. I hope Hart tracked Zlatan down at the end of the game to laugh at him.

BONTEMPI
Hart Jonson Terry Lt Warf Cole Parker Gerrard Chamberlin Walcott Rooney Welbeck Next match for me Would love to see this, not going to happen though. Lt Warf Should it not be Worf? Aye maybe Either way that ginsters forehead looking twat
Tiresias
Next match for me, mixing what I'd like to see and what we all know it will be (two banks of four with gerrard and parker in mid) usual backline Walcott Gerrard Parker Ox Rooney Welbeck Rooney will give us much better midfield presence with him dropping deep so that takes some of the woe of that central mid partnership away. Carroll played well for me so wouldn't mind his inclusion against teams where the backline can be bullied.
Beren
Walcott was great, but wouldn't start him. Impact sub works well for him
Mole_Toonfan
Can Chamberlain play CM? He did against Milan and Wenger reckons thats where he will end up eventually, so in a word yes he can. No way Woy will do it though, he loves his 2 banks of 4 too much.
Tiresias
Walcott was great, but wouldn't start him. Impact sub works well for him I agree but milner was so dire...Ox on right and Young on left despire him being poor too? Hmm
Mowen
Did I hear right that this is only the second England game Walcott's ever scored in? Mental if true. Best match of the tournament so far imo, fantastic excitement and a cracking performance to get us back into if after we tried our best to throw it away. AyeDubbleYoo
Was pleased with the fact that we played Andy Carroll but still didn't play long ball. Proof it can be done with him in the team.
ponsaelius
Clearly my tone was wrong. Ibrahimovic clearly isn't "s***", but he was f***ing woeful tonight, as he has been in pretty much every game I've ever seen him play live in. One of those players that you always hear is really good, but every time I watch him I think "is that it?". You must have been watching a different game tonight like. There were some truly woeful performances in that Sweden team and a couple in the England team but he certainly wasn't one of them. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/international/sweden-v-england-player-ratings-7855213.html http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/england-v-sweden-player-ratings-211542719.html He was like. Every time he got the ball he dwelled on it, hogged it, or tried to be too fancy. I can think of four or five occasions in the 2nd half alone where he tried to do it all himself when there were other better placed players. Don't see the fuss personally. Sure your not confusing him with Elmander? because what your describing is exactly what Elmander did on many occasions tonight..... Yes I'm sure Haha. Dave alluded to it earlier in the match thread too. He plays as if he knows / thinks he is considerably better than his teammates and has no intention of passing it to them at times. You could see some of them getting frustrated with him. And Sewelly, why would I want to see him play badly? I'm clearly not the only one who thinks it too. My twitter feed is full of people criticising his performance. He was far more involved and influential on the game than Carroll who is getting praised for chasing shadows for most of the game, along with an admittedly excellent goal. What he did to Terry and then Lescott is what Carroll should be doing to centre halves but hasn't since he wore a black and white shirt. Gerrard and Ibrahimovic were the two best performers on the pitch until Walcott came on and changed the course of the game.
AyeDubbleYoo
I've never seen Ibrahimovich have a genuinely good game to be honest. A few great moments and displays of ability, but never a great game.

Well they must be focusing on Ibra too much and not looking at his team mates who let him down big time.... There has been times where Ibra has flattered to decieve but this was'nt one of them imo until England brought on Walcott ( and started to get a stranglehold on the game) i thought Ibra was a class above anything on the pitch everything Sweden was doing was going through him and our defence seemed to struggle to deal with him and he was tossing us around like rag dolls. Infact this article explains his performance tonight and against Ukraine.... Ibra's performance was fine he was merely let down the poor quality of his team mates. http://www.goal.com/en/news/2898/euro-2012/2012/06/15/3176736/majestic-ibrahimovic-leaves-euros-with-his-head-held-high# Yes its LOL.com but i feel they hit the nail on the head. ponsaelius
Gerrard has been excellent in both games by the way, which I'm happy to admit after slating him pre-tournament. Seems like Roy has managed to get him playing with some discipline in central midfield. He still whacks his passes too much though.

Really greedy and losing possession more than anyone else running down blind alleys, making bad decisions. His ball for Carroll was immense though. AyeDubbleYoo
I thought Gerrard was relatively poor in both games as well, but a couple of great passes to set up goals.
Mr. Snrub
Gerrard's passing is just holding in square for as long as possible on pro evo. Power blast central.
ponsaelius
I thought Gerrard was relatively poor in both games as well, but a couple of great passes to set up goals. Easily our best midfielder in both games. Young and Milner were atrocious today and Parker was just Parker.
Tiresias
Ibra is a odd mix of huge muscular centre forward and skillfull number 9 and has been for Milan the kind of player who would win Milan games when they're playing poorly by being capable of fashioning chances out of nothing. He is an example of a big strong player also being immensely skillfull as well. He does seem to have something holding him back from universal acclaim, is he capable of playing with another striker? Most the time seems given freedom to wander rather than fit in with a system, and not sure he does his defensive work, largely I think he gives off the impression that he is bigger than the team and as such along with ronaldo will get slagged off a lot, however he is also a lot more entertaining than Ronaldo off the field...
