Taking him off against Charlton when we were 1-1 with a while left to play. He'd got our goal and looked by far our best player. Not having a go at Shearer but he looked absolutely knackered and of course stayed on. Clearly the scottish cunt flexing his ailing muscle.

Bellamy got caught going mental on camera about that decision iirc, never been a shrinking violet

The irony of course being that Bellamy spat his dummy out because he was being used out wide, and yet this season that's where he's been playing his best stuff. Maybe he's just done a lot of growing up the last 5 years and is acknowledging the fact it's for the good of the team these days.

Sure the good of his bank balance will have a bearing. Any move now will be a massive financial drop for him.

I definitely think he has grown up a lot. Also he is still quick but not lightning like he used to be, so I think he's now a lot more astute in the use of his pace.

Has there even been a former player score against us and not celebrate?

Bramble

*former* player.

He scored against us last season for Wigan. :aww:

That's the premier, "if that hadn't happened we'd be in the Premiership" moment from last season, imo. Oba slams home a winner, and all we have to do is protect a lead for about two minutes...naturally, we fail.

Such a shame that he was finally getting over his injuries and showing his huge potential when Souness arrived on the scene and rapidly fell out with him. It is still unbelievable that Souness would put himself above the club to such an extent that not only would he drop our best player but then undermine him in the media, drive his value down by declaring he wants rid, and even sending him on loan to the Scottish league, before selling him for a pittance.

Souness made some serious mistakes during his time here, but pedalling Bellamy ranks among his biggest. It's disgraceful to think he walked off with 3M of the club's money after we had no choice but to sack him.

Without having any concrete evidence whatsoever to base this on, I believe to this day that Shearer had a big part to play in Bellamy leaving. Hence the text to Shearer whilst Bellamy was at Celtic with the supposed "I'll knock Seven Bells out of ya" response.

Most of his teamates that day they just gave up on him even air head Dyer warned the moron about going on SkySportsNews but the hunchbacked little cunt couldnt help him self.

Bellamy was a decent player for us but an A grade kernt. Glad we got rid of the tit   :harry:

Except we've never been as good since we got rid of the "problem" players in our squad.

Problem players such as......Lee Bowyer? average player    Kieron Dyer? Never played

We improved in the league the following season when Robert left. We improved the following year on Dyer leaving. We did get relegated when Milner left though

Thinking about it, quite amazing/absurd that we managed to finish 7th in 05/06.

Think we were only about 8 points off 4th as well and had more points than when we finished 5th in 2004. Makes you wonder where we could have came had we had a good manager.

I always have and still do rate Bellamy as a great player.

But he'll never be better than Nicholas Anelka.. who although has many caps and trophies, should've done a lot more with his career.

Anelka isn't as good a footballer, but a better finisher and gets more goals because he doesn't work as hard for the team.

No trophies this year Shay, you Judas cunt.

Nice to see Bellamy nearly getting his head taken off as well. Should have used a spear rather than a coin like. Could happily see that little fucker end up with no trophies and no knees.
