toontownman
Fuck me. gutted but not suprised. why the hell shearer hasnt been given a rolling contract beggars belief. ashley really must be a spiteful mackem loving cunt.
Decky
This would really prove how thick Ashley is btw. Last season he announces he wants to sell, then doesnt, then appoints Kinnear, we go from Hughton to Kinnear and back again, then we go down. Exact same thing is unfolding here if this news is true. Ashley doesnt have to put the same men that took us down in charge, but it seems he is going to. Fucking grade A idiot. You know what, I bet he reckons Kinnear would have kept us up, I bet he really does rate him. Moron.
Dave
If this is bollocks btw, I wonder where it's come from? The article - EXCLUSIVE headline and all - seems very matter of fact; they're certain it's happening.

You know what, I bet he reckons Kinnear would have kept us up, I bet he really does rate him. Moron. Absolutely. Without a shadow of a doubt. Lets not forget that they had already drawn up a three year contract for this man they were so smitten with him. Now he has declared he has been given the all clear they have brought him straight back in.
KaKa
Kinnear was ranting on about how he was best friends with Ferguson and Wenger in that silly interview. Let's at least hope we can get some young players of them on loan if this mess is true.
madras
if the contract is more than a rolling monthly type it means no takeover.

Yes...this will be the indicator for which road we will be going down......hopefully he will get the same sort of deal as he was given last September, only shorter. Offshore
Strangely enough, it sort of makes a bit of sense. 1. Can't appoint a new full-time manager as the club is in the process of being sold, even if the all the prospective buyers said they'd want to appoint manager 'X', the seller shouldn't go ahead until the sale is complete in case they drop out. 2. Players need direction, Beye/Taylor/Enrique have said as much. They are wandering about lost under Houghton, while Kinnear is no great shake at least he'll take charge, have some sort of authority and they should at least be focused more. 3. Thats about it........ Not much really, and while its not great, its better than what we've had so far.
Ketsbaia
and its very kind of mr ashley to actually give us a manager i was convinced he would wait until the very last minute (if at all).

dcmk
Barring Southampton has there possibly been a less well run club than us in the past 6/7 years? From Europe to the Championship in a blink of an eye.

Incognito
If he does take it on surely JFK must have had some assurances about his long term future? To me this tells me no sale is going to happen.Or its someone to be the figure head for the fire sale. As long as the club is sold he'll be gone, and I still see the club changing hands this summer. However. If it isn't, then regardless of who is manager, we're fucked. if its all true of course. Offshore
Just to throw this one in....and this is in no way an endorsement of JFK in any shape or form. I don't think we'd have gone down if he didn't have his heart attack.
