The other games today - 2009/10

Liverpool would be safe in fourth if they'd played like this all season.

I'll be annoyed if our injuries (Spurs) end up costing us fourth. Liverpool and Villa had their best teams out this weekend, Everton are almost back to full strength and City were only missing a couple - our first team squad injuries are now in double figures.

Alan Green and Jan Molby fawning all over Liverpool on 5Live. Have they really played that well or are the mackems that bad?

They've played really well. Doesn't make Alan Green any less of a cunt though.

Jan Mølby is probably my favourite commentator in danish. He'll just say all these obvious things and make them sound profound, like whenever a team concedes a goal, it's a bad time to concede "it's very bad to go behind at the start of the game" or "It's important not to lose a goal right before half-time. "If you don't hit the goal, you might as well not shoot" or the contradicting "you miss 100 % of the chances you don't take" and the classic "you need to score goals to win games". Or the pragmatic "A well-taken penalty is a penalty that goes in". Love it.

Andy Gray when Liverpool were already 1-0 up, "If they [sunderland] don't score today they'll get beaten"

Did he really say that?

Christ almighty!
