Just been on Sky Sports News. Callum Davenport of Tottenham, Watford, West Ham and Sunderland was stabbed at his home as was his mother late last night.

 

He's been in surgery all morning with Police describing his condition as "Serious". Police are investigating the incident but have have no comments to make at this point. Sounds well shit to be honest. Hopefully he makes a recovery, sounds well dodgy though considering it's not being looked at as a robbery.

Teenager arrested over stabbing

 

A teenager has been arrested after a man was found with a stab wound at a property in Bedfordshire, police said.

 

Officers were called to Springfield Road, Kempston, near Bedford, at 0500 BST and found the seriously injured 24-year-old.

 

His injury is not thought to be life-threatening, police said. Officers have set up a cordon at the scene and are carrying out house-to-house inquiries.

 

The 19-year-old man arrested over the assault is in police custody.

 

Bedfordshire Police have asked anyone with information to contact officers.

West Ham United statement

 

The club's thoughts are with Calum Davenport and his family after an incident late on Friday night.

 

West Ham United can confirm that Calum Davenport was being treated in hospital on Saturday afternoon after an incident late on Friday night.

 

The 26-year-old defender and his mum both suffered stab wounds at home in Bedford. His mum is recovering while Calum underwent surgery this morning and his injuries were described as serious by doctors.

 

The club's medical team are in contact with hospital staff. The thoughts of everyone at West Ham are with Calum and his family and, due to the ongoing police investigation, no further information will be released at this time.

Both the 25 y/o and 19 y/o are under arrest. That's that one cleared up.

Davenport lost two years in the space of one post up there though.

I thought it was the most interesting thing to say, didn't see much point in adding yet another "Oooh that's horrible, get well soon..." kinda post. :razz:
