The club receiving an initial offer never accept, they will always ask for more. There is no point offering close to what you think is the true value of a player from the off. Some people seem to think transfers are done as per Football Manager/FIFA. Offer £6M for Debuchy. Lille say no so come back with an £8m offer which is 'only' 33.333% more than our original offer!
