Guest firetotheworks
Unfortunately they can afford to be and still continue to pick up trophies on their way to whatever the fuck it is that Abramovich expects from his managers. He goes on like they should be winning the treble every year. With players like David Luiz, Petr Cech, Gary Cahill and Jon Obi Mikel ffs. Their forward line is outstanding like, but imagine Barca's front line with Mikel in midfield and Luiz and Cahill at centre back, man.

Robster
Whoever takes charge of them next will be their eighth manager since Mourinho left them just over five years ago EDIT: And in those five years, they've won three FA cups, one PL title and one CL title. Ridiculous He's the Russian Jesus Gil
AyeDubbleYoo
I was more surprised when he gave Di Matteo the job in the first place TBH. They must've been one of the worst teams ever to win the Champions League.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
ever wanted to hear ITV's Ned Boulting make a really, really shit joke? Ned Boulting @nedboulting Roman Abramovich "unlikely to appoint female' to role of new Chelsea manager, after yesterday's vote by the CofE, sources claim. #CofEFC

Ryan_Taylor
If we had a manager that's done what Di Matteo has done at Chelsea we'd be campaigning to have him knighted
Tooj
It was obvious that it would only be a matter of time for Di Matteo. You could tell Roman didn't want to give him the job in the first place but he had no other option after last season's success. That's why he only gave him a short-term contract. Eaxctly, don't understand why anyone is even worrying about it. If he hadn't won the Champions League Abramovich wouldn't have been forced to appoint him at all. NG32
Yep, he was only ever keeping the seat warm, to steady the ship...No one expected him to help chelsea win the European Cup. Fist chance to blat him and they've done it.
Sima
You can't really credit Di Matteo on winning the Champions League last season as I get the impression that the senior players' drive to prove a point after their treatment by Villas Boas carried them through

KaKa
This guy never had the job really. Roman has just been waiting for the perfect time to strike. Pep's apparently ready to resume management, and ultimately that's all that matters. Not at all surprising. Was a farce from the outset.
Guest palnese
Can't believe they hired him on a permanent basis in the first place. Luckiest CL win in the history of football and a pretty disappointing league run.

Jack Flash
Being strong armed into appointing him is one thing but to then spend all that money in the summer probably knowing your next manager is just round the corner is insane. What if they appoint someone who doesn't want to play 6 attacking midfielders at once?

What if they appoint someone who doesn't want to play 6 attacking midfielders at once? It makes no difference to them whatsoever. They're a spotty kid with a FIFA cheat code.
