Campbell is exactly the type of guy we need in a relegation battle. Plenty of Premier League experience, can handle pressure and is still a very good defender. Also if we are struggling at RB we now have the option of sticking Taylor out there with Colo and Campbell in the middle.

Supposed to be about 10 weeks.

I fucking love our transfer policy and the way Hughton tells the media anything he can be arsed to tell them.

Being fair, this was one he couldn't help himself giving away at Carlisle.

To those worried about his pace, someone on that Arsenal forum says once he got fit last season he was surprisingly quick, outpacing Gareth Bale at one point.

Slow over 10 yards, quick over 50 type of player.

Could be worse and hopefully its only a 12 month deal.

Can't wait to see the Sol surge.

Necessary signing. He's free, he's still got it, he'll mentor the young guys, he's better than Bramble.

Howay man, that's not saying much

Aye but it gives me an immense feeling of satisfaction knowing the Mackems signed someone shit and we signed someone half decent.

Bramble isn't that shit, though as we all know when he makes a clanger everybody in the world knows about it. He'll do the same at Sunderland as he did at Wigan, solid for the most part with the odd moment of madness. Much improved over the player who was hounded while here.

Is he not a right greedy bastard though?

Was on about £100k at Portsmouth, his wage demands put Roeder off iirc. Can imagine he's after about £40k a week now.
