2010 World Cup - England in group C with USA/Algeria/Slovenia (full draw in OP)

I don't understand this idea that England is world class just now. It's really the same players as last time swapping out Robinson for James and Nevile for Johnson, and taking out a fit Hargreaves. England will probaly do well, but not because they have transformed into a "world class team" in the last two years.

The manager, the development of Rooney and the emergence of the likes of Defoe, Lennon and Johnson as real top players has made a bit of a difference. Gerrard, Lampard, Terry and Ferdinand are in their peak years now too.

They haven't transformed, but they've made a lot of progress and are much more equipped than ever before.

We were a rubbish team with a few world class players. With the help of having an actually capable manager, we have a world class team. We didn't have the hardest of groups, but you don't qualify at an absolute canter - pummelling some 'second tier' (which is what we were under Shuper Shteve) teams in the way we did, without being world class. If we're not in with a shout next year then something is going badly wrong.

We don't have a team of world class individuals but the team itself is fantastic at the moment. The job Capello has done thus far is almost flawless.

They are probably putting one of these cringe-induncing show and dance numbers after every ball is drawn.

Has to be. Fucking dancing and awful interviews with barely coherent current and former players.
