Anon
I personally wouldn't have a problem with any footballer or friend coming out in the open n admitting that they were gay What a hero.
quayside
Was that him who cleared off our goal line tonight? I couldn't be sure who it was. Whoever it was, it was a good effort.

ponsaelius
Yeah, one thing he's good at.
Guest Craig-NUFC
Thing is, most the time he's clearing it off the line because he was in the wrong position in the first place. I'll give him the one tonight though. Was quick to read the situation
J7
Thought he had an OK game, but one thing he needs to watch is keeping in line. Too many times this season he's played people onside.

The Prophet
Simpson has always received an excessive amount of criticism on this board.
SEMTEX
He did fine tonight. Relatively speaking.
Fenham Mag
I like him. He always says the right things about the Fans. Hope he means it.
Guest
Couldn't cope with Hoilett when he switched over onto the right in the first half, although Ben Arfa didn't give him much help. Did much better in the second half
Sifu
Was it his 100th game, tonight?

I'll give him the one tonight though. Was quick to read the situation Can it really be the wrong position though, if it has saved us a goal? strikes me as exceptional positioning. All his clearances were from set pieces where he's instructed to stand on the line in the first place, so accusations of "poor positioning" don't make any sense at all really.l He's doing his job. Pilko
Another goal-line clearance, but another stupid fucking ill-timed challenge leading to a penalty.
Dave
Get away. It was never a penalty.
Pilko
It looked like one to me from the one angle I've seen it from. Not that it matters too much, we didn't concede from it. We give away far too many pens though, happens every season.
AlanSkÃrare
Can't cross, can't tackle, can't put pressure on people and stands off instead, can't pass and can't go past his man. He's usually decent poisitioning wise and has a habit of being "in the way", but that's about it. I'd play RT ahead of him. Won't happen though, but I think Pardew himself wants an upgrade on this position.
Rocker
Another goal-line clearance, but another stupid fucking ill-timed challenge leading to a penalty. It was a very soft penalty like.
Magpie
Never a penalty, he stood his ground and didn't foul him in the slightest!
Rich
He stopped at least two crosses last night, that's progress folks. He was solid enough.
Mole_Toonfan
It was never a penalty in a million years as far as iam concerned , as said before he's solid in defence majority of the team its just frustrating to see him in possession or going forward because he's very average at it indeed. Anyway i hope he stays, i dont think he's good enough first choice in the long term but like Obertan iam more than happy enough for him to be a squad member. Whether he accepts that or not remains to be seen.
