Mike Williamson (now managing MK Dons)

Outstanding since back in the team, ever since that Everton match he has been playing well above his natural/perceived level and is hoofing the ball a lot less. Playing with Debuchy/Mbiwa on right as opposed to Simpson seems to help mask some of his issues. The defence complement each other well at the moment.

Can't say any way back for Taylor as long as players stay fit as Mbiwa is coming on great as well.

has football developed that much where every CH needs to be a footballing defender? tony adams used to get slated for being a donkey in his early years but he was a hell of a defender, now im not saying hes anywhere near that level but the year arsenal won the league tony adams was outstanding. his communication is up there with the best ive seen in recent years here and thats something we have always been lacking

Per Mertesacker is a good example of why you can be an excellent defender so long as you play to your strengths and minimise your weaknesses being exploited. There's no reason that Williamson can't do that. He's not tremendously talented, but as a defender you know exactly what you're getting with him 9 times out of 10.

Which unfortunately is a terrible performance.

Nope.
