Mike Williamson (now managing MK Dons)

What a difference his game makes when we aren't trying to find him from corners and free kicks.. And likewise the cooling I hatred for him. He's been genuinely solid, how long he can maintain this form is anyone's guess but he is a very likeable guy and deserves the credit he is getting.

Those clean sheet stats get higher again.

He is a very competent defender and perhaps our best out and out defender, but as a footballer he is extremely poor. But its about partnerships and he and Colo seem to compliment each other well at the moment. I thought he was immense today, he won most headers, put in lots of important blocks or interceptions and cleared his lines very well. He is also a very good communicator which Color isn't and you need that at the back. Williamson went mad with Krul at one point for not coming for a cross which meant he had to basically try and cut it out with his back to goal, he sort of did leaving Debuchy to head the ball calmly to a relieved Krul.

Developing into a rather brilliant story this. Must have always been aware he's no great footballing defender, but he has really grasped a last chance of making it with a big club and applied himself with wholehearted concentration. Puts his body in the way time and again and, most of all, has stood up and taken responsibility for the whole back line.  In his best ever form, and against some top strikers. Long may it continue.

No, but I actually wouldn't mind being him at the moment!

Any idea what the record is for sirst team appearances as an outfield player with no goals to their name?

Presume he's surpassed Alan Smith

got to be frank clark till breaking his duck, must've been about 400games at the time, even that was in the league cup. don't think he scored a league goal for us in 450 or so games for us.
