Cajun
The thing is he was brilliant technically last season, normally technical players struggle to step up because they don't get the space but Routledge has the pace to make it. Puzzling.

Puzzling. i think its a confidence thing, his failure to hold down a place in the past seems to have damaged his confidence at prem level i think it's something simpler, better defences not allowing him so many passing options or allowing us to make anything from poor crosses. Dokko
I'd rather keep him than loan him out. If someone wants to offer £2-3m then fair enough, consider it.
Mr. Snrub
Direct swap for Adel Taarabt.
Cajun
Would go with that or sell for a couple of million and sign Hammill for £500,000. This is based on the forum hype mind.
JH
fuck that. If the rich bastards want him, they can pay for him. Loan deals ffs, you have more money than us!!
Guest Heneage
f*** that. If the rich bastards want him, they can pay for him. Loan deals ffs, you have more money than us!! They've not spent it though. If they wanted they could have been out of that division ages ago.
EthiGeordie
Direct swap for Adel Taarabt. I would add a couple of million on that Taarbt is abslout gem......
Guest BooBoo
He's tweeted something along the lines of "why is January always so complicated?" Could be interpreted as he's on his way out of the club. I'd be saddened if he left tbh. He's talented but lacks heart. A shame.
mattypnufc
He's fast, he's small, he's got no final ball, Wayne Routledge...Wayne Routledge. bout sums him up tbh.
AyeDubbleYoo
I still think Routledge is overly criticised, in the Championship his crossing was pretty good IIRC. A bit of bad form and a dropping has hit his confidence. I think it would be a shame if he left, he's a good option for us.
KaKa
I would rather he just put his head down and forced the situation more, and then if he failed miserably everyone would know he wasn't good enough and then could move on. Unfortunately, he has just completely frozen at this level. He's not even going for it when he has the chance. Just ends up getting rid of the ball too early. huge shame, because as numerous others have said, I think he would have some success if he was more aggressive/direct. Shame. Like Guthrie has the ability to be twice the player he's shown so far but just not got the desire or hunger to make it happen.
Guest neesy111
The problem is that clubs before us have seen this in Routledge, hence why he's never made it as a regular player in the top flight.

AyeDubbleYoo
I hope we don't sell him unless we have another RW lined up. Beyond Barton we're woefully short on the RW.
