If we can nick some points in the tough 3 away games against the teams above us then my word, we have every chance. Yes we were pathetic on Thursday but assuming we don't get another bout of injuries, we are right in contention. Not really aiming for 4th. Villa have particularly shit support and Martin ONeill looks like a pre-pubescent retard. City have shit support. Liverpool have numbers in terms of support but Alan Green is fairly typical. alpal78 Posted February 27, 2010 Share Posted February 27, 2010 For me Man City just because I see getting into the top 4 as the gateway to challenge the dominance of the current big 4 (Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool) and the top 2 on a long term basis. It if was any other team getting the 4th spot, they won't have the financial muscle to dislodge the the traditional four and is just as likely to fall off the radar next season (back into top 8 perhaps). But for Man City, Champ League qualification, plus their financial power to get the big name players, and they would be challenging for the title starting next season onwards which would make the EPL more exciting.
