Short seems to be operating a sell to maybe buy policy which isn't surprising considering their wage bill to turnover ratio is the same as ours when Freddy was in charge and we were waiting for financial meltdown. Granted they don't have the debt we did but Short seems to be playing the long game. They took a punt last season on getting into Europe by spending a lot in the summer and it didn't work. That's a great deal for the Mackems tbh, Stoke are stupid, but I guess Pulis thinks he can mould him into his squad of limited but committed players. I don't know what everyone is talking about, that squad they have is average at best, they are still no more than lower mid table, relegation flirters IMO. Apparently Angeleri turned up extremely unfit and has already fell out with Bruce, Riveros and al-Muhammedi look good on an international stage but so did da Silva and Bruce seemingly doesn't rate him after his performances last year.
