"Hoped" I think. He did mention a few weeks back that he was hoping to sign a player before the US tour. Presumably, that player would have been Erdinç. That said the recent interest from PSG in QPR Striker Taarabt may set to unsettle him again......... grasp at straws like! wasn't there a story doing the rounds that erdinc wanted to come and terms were about agreed then the agent wanted more, deal scuppered and player announcing he'd stay. for the little it's worth i think he'll end up here for september. Add in Pardews comments about injuries to Guthrie and Ferguson “It’s OK, we can cope, but if we lost another two, then it won’t be OK. “I wouldn’t say we’re on a knife-edge with injuries, but our squad isn’t particularly big.” You can see where this is going.
