I think there is good reasoning behind that.

 

He has worked with world class managers/coaches.

 

Has always been a top pro.

 

Despite being shit for us on the whole spent a fair bit of his career as a very good player even if not able to make himself a regular at Man Utd.

 

Good experience at international level and European competition.

 

I doubt he would be a popular coach, at least to start with but there's a fair backing behind why he might be good at it.

Can't believe he made 171 appearances for us, seems crazy. Never was convinced by him for us but generally he's come across well in nearly every interview I've read. Good luck to him for any coaching roles.

Wow, thought it'd be 50 odd or something like that. 170 is crazy :lol:

Wasn't he decent on his debut and then for half a season or something later on? I've wiped my memory with most of it because he was generally terrible.
