The ear is so sensitive that you can do absolutely nothing to help it without major surgery. That's why these instruments are so f***ing stupid. I've never heard about what you said. I'm pretty sure it's false aswell. I know you can use special sleep helping machines to emit a similar frequency and destructively interfere with the frequency in your head but it's very complicated. Insurance companies won't pay out if someone gets damaged hearing at the WC, so I doubt they can get anything from FIFA as they'd just say "they knew the danger" and so on.
