Just caught up with all this. Suarez is clearly, obviously a racist and the FA should throw the book at him because 8 matches is nowhere near enough. But the way Dalglish, Liverpool FC and some of their fans have reacted is barbaric.....it's awful that people like this still exist in 2012. They're defending the indefensible and forgiving the unforgivable.

Very disappointed with today's verdict. This is the time when @luis16suarez needs our full support. Let's not let him walk alone. KD

Seriously what a bunch of cunts, how they can support him at all is a joke, though it doesn't surprise me KKK Dalglish is probably a huge racist himself.

I think this is showing Liverpool to be very naive and arrogant. The FA or Prem League will not want to have to deal with this kind of morality issue and will want this to blow over as quickly as possible. However, when stuff like this comes out in the media, they have to be seen to be taking action. They are part of society after all.

The clever way to play this was to admit guilt, show lots of remorse, put forward a plan to stop racism at the club, donate lots of stuff to anti-racism charities, and to appeal the length of the ban only.

Since they've shown no remorse, the temptation is just to make the ban longer.

Off to bed with an Ovaltine. Been a crazy night, proud to have taken a stand and touched by support. Lets keep this moving. #SaySorrySuarez

Would create too much negative energy to retweet the idiots. Lets do something positive, get an apology to put this to rest #SaySorrySuarez

Racist abuse coming in from LFC fans, the last thing the club needs is more damage to its reputation after recent events? #SaySorrySuarez

The way Liverpool and particularly Dalglish are approaching this is truly despicable. The evidence is overwhelming, why not hold your hands up and apologise, they look ridiculous. What must the black players that play for Liverpool think of this? I had a disliking for Suarez for his cheating before this came out, this just cements the fact he's a complete w*****.

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has claimed that fans of former club Liverpool ‘don’t know the truth’ behind his move to Stamford Bridge.

The Spain international also accused the Reds’ owners, Fenway Sports Group, of breaking promises.

Torres left Anfield in a 50-million-pound deal in January, a move that has made him an unpopular figure among the supporters that idolised him during his time at the Merseyside club.

Torres claims there was more to the transfer than meets the eye, however, saying Reds fans ‘don’t know’ what their club’s owners are like.

“The Liverpool fans don’t know the truth about why I signed for Chelsea,” he told Spanish television station Canal+ Liga.

“The fans don’t even know half of what happened. They don’t know what the people in charge at Liverpool are like – they have a completely different perception of what they are like.”

“They made promises that they didn’t keep and I left because I realised I didn’t have time to be part of a project that would take years.”

Just had a look at the Suarez report.

If he referred to the player's race in the course of an argument, he's guilty. Those are the standards that operate here.

I just think he was operating with a Blatter-esque mentality, in which the victim would try to sort it out on the field, and wouldn't launch a complaint.

For what it's worth the UK mentality is very extreme when it comes to what is acceptable and what is racist, particularly when it comes to South Asian and darker. Brits happily say things about Slavs that would be considered very racist if said about Indians/Africans. Obviously, other cultures see things differently.

I can accept your position, but only if you absolutely commit to memorise and slavishly obey the morals and mores of any country you visit and be held responsible for every faux pas.

Suarez went waaaay too far, but what you're saying is just ignorant.
