Interpolic
When you think that we paid 20mil for Stewart Downing and Manchester City paid 24mil for Yaya Toure, you have to question the transfer policy. When you're questioning your own transfer policy on the back of another teams famously wild transfer policy you've definitely got problems Amazing that that's the best example they could think of. How about that Ben Arfa, Tiote, Cabaye and Jonas cost less than Downing?

Interpolic
Amazing. They definitely need to spunk £25m on one player, quickly.
STM
Didn't i read that our side that beat West Brom 3-1 cost less than that of Andy Carroll. Thats a damning indictment of their situation. I'm not even suggesting they run with a budget like ours but there is at least a canny medium.
Si
Amazing. They definitely need to spunk £25m on one player, quickly. Don't believe the bullshit that this can be solved by one £25m, they need one £35m player that will get them out of this. Anything less and it just won't be enough. madras
Carroll will have to go regardless of his good recent form and in his place we should bring in the best striker we can find - not some attempt at copying Newcastle and finding an obscure "bargain" in the Norwegian 3rd division but a proper £25m+ striker who can score goals. Would be worth every last penny http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=292592.360 wonder if he's itk about that, he'll have to be more specific as the norwegian 3rd division has about 10 sections to iirc. Wilson
the excuses... EVERYTHING this club has had to deal with since around Rafa's last year has been incredible... Hicks and Gillett ownership Appointment of Purslow Firing of Rafa Hiring of Roy Getting rid of some key players whilst buying dinosaurs (Insua for Konchesky, etc.) New ownership Debt having to be paid off Expectations of Kenny Torres deciding to leave Suarez v. Guest bimpy474
I just got mad, for years i've heard us get called delusional and expecting to win whatever. There is only one truly delusional team and set of fans, this shower of shitarses.

Neil
Liverpool have to play 3 of the 4 teams immediately below them yet. Great potential for them to slip into the bottom half.

Robster
Maybe it's just me but I still feel like they've got one over on us, to a certain extent, with that cup win. They've been able to experience the feeling of seeing their team lift a cup at Wembley and personally, I'm very jealous of that.

As much as I'd love to see this club lift a trophy, I'd rather the position we're in now to the one they're in. Progressing as a team and club as a whole, a likeable bunch of players, pushing our way up the table, and not being the laughing stock and most detestable club in English football. I agree in principle of course as this season has been incredible. However, we'll have our poor periods again and we won't have the good luck, like they do, of a cup win to fall back on. I fucking hate them for still winning stuff even though they are shite.

Fair enough, a cup is a cup and, while they are pretty blasé about it, I've never seen us win one. But to be fair you'd be hard pushed to describe them as rivals at the start of the season after hoovering up our players, and to have ended up above them is massive. To have ended up being this far above them is just exceptional.
