Guest ToonZA
This was the kind of game that suits him. The opposition were not flash and he played in a position that suits his limited skill set. He merely has to cover a specific area on the pitch, get stuck into the opposition and only has to make short passes due to the proximity to the rest of his team mates. Happy that Pardew used him correctly and glad he did well. Doesn't mean he should be playing regularly or playing CB. It just means you look at what you have and who you are playing against, and you use your squad where they can provide the greatest impact.

jdckelly
you can see why any manager would like him, doesn't kick up a fuss when he's not playing, covers a few positions and does a reasonable job when called on

Sammys_Tekkers
A fantastic performance by Perchino. Never thought I would say that along with saying Obertan scored
Cajun
Passable midfielder, looks a decent option in there. No chance I would risk him at the back though, tackling is a whole different ball game when you are the last man and that's when he gets rash. Guest
Apart from Norwich and the first chelsea goal, he's been fine since switching from right-back.
Si
He's been nowhere near as bad as his reputation this season like. Pardew seems to be doing a really good job of getting the best out of players like Perch and Guthrie, their performances have improved dramatically. Guest
A team with Simpson, Williamson, R.Taylor, Guthrie, Perch, Best, & Ameobi has no right to be going out and winning 2-0 away in the Premier League tbf.
Ash
Getting a lot of praise on radio Newcastle. Hes crap, gives us extra protection back there, but whenever hes on the ball its a disaster. Bullshit. Try giving the lad a bit of praise for once. Was brilliant when he came on tonight, tackled and blocked everything that came his way. Guest ToonZA
Pardew's man of the match Not being malicious but he would say that after making what appeared to be a match defining substitution. IMO - MoM goes to Colo by a whisker from Krul. But then again they are always our best performers so maybe it was good man management to talk him up in the press. Now that we have found good use for Perch, he needs to be kept away from CB though.
Guest bimpy474
He's rightly been slated for past performances, but his last two, especially last night deserve praise and so he shall get some. Well done Perch lad, keep it up.
Guest Haris Vuckic
He's hopeless as a centre back as when he jumps he resembles a dying fish trying to escape the net - whom given the circumstance - would have no interest in heading the ball. Fair one. However he's looking decent in midfield, of defensive mid as such. Just chasing the ball down & sweeping away. Good move from Pardew although Ben Arfa might have been sick in his mouth a bit.
ATB
Ok at CM. but would rather not play him. Can´t handle a football, and my understanding is that he indeed are playing football. Like to make a good tackle though.
