Skirge
I guess its harder when he has been away from the squad for so long letting him spend so much time in France would not have helped that but we all knew he was no angel, the way the deal happened made that clear. Revolution Number 9
I think if there's a good passage of play involving both Ben Arfa and Cabaye the ensuing romance explosion will blast the windows clean out of this house.

eliassenfredrik
I guess we're fielding quite a decent team today, since there are so many injuries in midfield on some of the players, and we have zero backup in defense. But AMMAGAD HATEM BEN ARFA IS f***ing BACK!

Guest BEN BEN BEN ARFA
Alan Pardew just waiting for almost a year: to bring Hatem Ben Arfa "in number 10 behind a point." Newcastle coach will be able to implement his system, as the French international playmaker finally returns to the front of the stage. Seriously injured by a tackle from Nigel de Jong 3 October 2010, former player of Lyon and Marseille has long treated, relapsed this summer but is back, 352 days later. Forever. HATEM IS BACK!!!!! "Hatem had to be strong, especially after he sprained summer. This was a blow to him, "said the manager English. 24 years old, under contract until June 2016, Ben Arfa should not hold on Tuesday evening 16es-finals of the League Cup against Nottingham Forest. But to see him wear a football jersey and trample the grass will come into play when it warms the heart out of the world. And not to Newcastle. http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/breves2011/20110920_080827_newcastle-retrouve-ben-arfa.html "Ben Arfa finally returns" to read in full in L'Equipe on Tuesday 20 September. Wilson
Hatem Ben Arfa HATEM BEN ARFA has admitted he can’t wait to get “back to work” in a Newcastle shirt tonight. The Chronicle revealed on September 2 how the French international was making good progress in his comeback from the ankle injury he sustained in Kansas City during the Magpies’ US tour back in July. The blow in Kansas came after just 35 minutes of his return in the friendly against the MLS outfit – and nine months after sustaining a double leg break at Manchester City following a sickening tackle by Nigel De Jong. Ben Arfa’s return to the fray this evening is testament to the many hours of hard work put in by the United medical and backroom team, who sensibly did not hand the playmaker a comeback date. There had been talk of an October 1 return at Wolverhampton Wanderers, however Ben Arfa is now looking forward to linking up with his fellow countrymen Sylvain Marveaux and Mehdi Abeid at the City Ground tonight. Ben Arfa told the Chronicle: “I’m excited – the idea of playing again makes me smile. “I have not played as many games for Newcastle as I would like. “Now I want to take my chance to get a game and help the team get through to the next round. “It is great to be back. I can’t wait to play again.” Ben Arfa has worked tirelessly since returning from his double leg break at Eastlands. The player initially headed straight for Clairefontaine for rehab, but made regular visits to a top French specialist in Paris, while also making regular Eurostar journeys to London to team up with United club doctor Paul Catterson. Reflecting on his return to fitness, Ben Arfa, who has not played a competitive match since the 2-1 defeat at Man City, said: “Since I have been back I have worked very hard to get fit. “I was in France first and then working with the group. “Everybody is looking forward to the game with Nottingham Forest tonight.” Ben Arfa’s Cannes-based advisor Simon Stainrod paid tribute to the 24-year-old’s rapid progress. The former Strasbourg star said: “He had the horrific experience of his broken leg last season, but he is made of sterner stuff. “The aftercare he has received from the specialists in Paris and the Newcastle United medical team has been different class.” Read More http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/09/20/hatem-ben-arfa-excited-by-newcastle-return-72703-29452404/#ixzz1YUTznvpQ

Hanshithispantz
Pardew being positive about Ben Arfa here: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11678_7190153,00.html I'm sure he's going to fall out with me and my staff and my players and we will with him, but along that line we're hoping to get some great performances and a lot of goals from him. Is Pardew fucking retarded or something? These comments, along with the Santon comments just don't seem like they've come from the mouth of a sane man.
