POW And thats why he must start So start him and sub him off at half time = 45min Bring him on for the last 30min and extra time = 60min Not much difference tbh. It's not about times on the pitch, the difference if he starts is that if the game is not right for him or he unexpectedly starts to tire you can then easily take him off. If you bring him on for the last half hour or so then there is a considerable chance that he'll be forced to play extra time despite flagging, which I isn't something I'd like to risk.
